There are so many options when building a registry! Is there a resource for at what ages all of these things should be used? I looked up the safe sleep recommendations, but they don't mention that much detail from what I could find. Any help or discussion about products that worked for you at certain ages would be really appreciated! I'm trying to figure out what sizes I would likely need for these different stages of infant sleep.

How do you research swaddle, sleep sack options?

I am at a loss of what to put my baby to sleep in. I have a 1 week old baby and am scared to death.  I have tried the halo sleep sack but she gets so hot in that.  I tried the a swaddle but she can break free and I’m concerned somehow it will block her airway.  I could just put her in pajamas but that makes me worry she is too cold.

Help!!

How are y’all or did y’all swaddling your LO? 

My one month old loves to be swaddled to sleep. Her sleeping swaddled versus her sleeping unswaddled are like two different babies. I’ve been swaddling her in muslin blankets, but I never can get her very tight and she ends up breaking out and getting upset because she’s not tight enough. My SIL got her a thicker sleep swaddle Velcro thing for Christmas and tonight is my first time using it. On on hand, because I’m a panicky FTM, I’m scared she’ll get too hot in it. I have her in just a diaper and a long sleeve sleeper underneath it, but I live in the south and it’s 70 degrees outside despite it being January lol. On the other hand, Velcroing her in seems Leaps and bounds easier than trying to tuck her swaddle around her. 


Do you prefer a blanket swaddle? Or the velcro swaddle? If the later, does your LO get too hot? Is there a third option that you prefer?
