Worldwide tablet shipments have declined 8.5%
And when I do need to be more mobile, phones handle that aspect just as well and maybe better if I need to be able to put said mobile device is a smaller-than-tablet-pocket. I think in the long term, the extent of tablets will largely be some kind of pseudo-tablet convertibles like the aforementioned ZenBook and probably fewer like the Transformer of the Surface Book and most tablets that do stick around with be Surface like holdouts that can't more easily be converted into real computer mode.

I love this laptop

SOLID notebook, but has its limits..
I found this to be a FANTASTIC portable notebook for traveling, on-the-go work.. but it is limited by its capacity for RAM, even 16GB in my case. Although the i7 chip does help tremendously, I found that the notebook struggled with respect to memory-intensive apps like Chrome, Photoshop.. so if you ...

Good buy for teachers, less ports but adaptors included
Got this back in April, now it's December. I still love love it. Haven't had any problems. I am in love with this computer. I went from having a heavy and bulky laptop to this and it is great! Asus ZenBook Flip 14 review: A slim, stylish 2-in-1 with some graphics muscle
The design is literally rough around the edges in places and a few other aspects could be better. As it stands, though, if you want a slim, light two-in-one with better-than-integrated graphics, put the ZenBook Flip 14 on your short list.

ASUS Zenbook Flip S Review - Intel Tiger Lake Arrives!
I personally don't see myself using this in laptop mode and tablet mode at the same time, but if you find yourself doing that, this is probably a great option because that display. The 4k ola display is absolutely fantastic.

Driver/Radeon software issues with AMD Laptop
My laptop, the Asus Zenbook Flip 14 UX642 with AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx has been having trouble with the Radeon software. For some apparent reason, the Radeon software has been updating itself causing my drivers to be outdated which stops me from even accessing the software. It would say upon opening that "No driver has been installed" or "these drivers are outdated" despite me having already installed the latest drivers and latest Window updates.

Ask HN: What does one look for in a laptop these days?
Last year I picked up a ASUS Zenbook Flip and slapped NixOS on it. My only complaint is that the body isn’t very rigid and got crack in the glass (not over the display) when my bag fell from a shitty bathroom stall hook.
