What are some good Linux friendly laptops?
asus vivobook s15 is awesome. very light weight laptop with high end spec. I am using it over a year without a single issue. dual boot with windows and linux.
Great price. Works well. Terrible (but switchable) Windows 10-S. Fair amount of bloat.
First Year Update: So after a year of owning this laptop, I want to bring up a few issues. First off, the bluetooth adapter has failed. I have to use a USB bluetooth dongle now. Not certain if this is a prevalent problem, or something that's an easy fix, but I am where I am. Secondly, the fan proble...

Hinge Failure after Webcam Failure
July 2021 Review: Just after the 1 year warranty expired, the hinge completely failed. There was no tension in the hinge that kept the laptop screen upright so it kept folding. I youtubed how to repair it but then I made the hinge too tight. It's several weeks later and now the screen keeps shutting...

Verdict — Affordable OLED
You'll have to drop a couple hundred more dollars on a sleeker ZenBook for the full flagship experience. As far as mid-range laptops go, however, the VivoBook 15 K513 comes with one of the best displays you can get in this price range.

ASUS X515 (2020)
Unfortunately, the screen looks dim and washed out, and the webcam doesn't capture any fine details due to its low resolution. Also, its battery doesn't last long enough to get you through a typical 8-hour day, and although it has a USB-C port, you can't use it to charge the laptop or connect an external display.
