 I give a lot of my feelings and feedbacks on percussive massagers in that video and just to be completely clear and honest, I don't use these things a ton. Where I find them most beneficial for me is if I'm feeling extremely sore or tight, which for me tends to be in my quads, my glutes, and right here in my pec and delt tie-in. I'll use these guns a little bit before warming up and lifting, but otherwise I don't find a huge use for them in my own particular training. That being said though, I think I'm in the minority because I literally get an email every week from companies asking if I'll review their massage guns

 This gun in particular is 16 millimeters where the old model I believe was 11 millimeters and most standard guns on the market, especially in this price range tend to be about 10 millimeters. So you're getting an increase of over 50% in terms of how much this thing's actually going to massage you, which I do think comes into play because we all want bigger and better massage vibration, don't we? So the amplitude on this is greater, which is nice because usually to get that kind of amplitude from other guns, you're gonna have to pay a lot more money. So again, this is about half the cost of some of the higher end guns out there on the market. So that's the first selling point for me

 The second selling point is the battery. So this battery is a 3,200 milliamp hour battery, which is nice because it's larger than the old one. And the old one, I got fantastic runtime out of. Again, I was just using it briefly as a warmup, but if you're using this in a public gym or sharing with people, or you're just lazy and don't like to charge things all the time, this is going to help you out as it has a bigger battery, which in this case also is removable, which is kind of cool when you're thinking about a gun, this is basically like a clip you're locked and loaded and ready to massage all the kinks out for all your kinks

Percussive Device Recomendations

 It’s better to heal gradually over a week than to dig in on day one and hurt yourself.  The achedaway pro is built solid, is easy to grip, can easily reach all of your back area if you need it to (I’m still scared so I use the theragun for my back).  Can be better: I found the Bluetooth app sessions of the theragun to be awesome for the pre and post activity. Not just for beginners to massage guns, but also just to time yourself and hit everything

 Even with the legs I get nervous when switching legs, because if i am not careful I just might place the bare massager on my skin if the head pops off at the wrong time. Overall, I cannot use this massager anymore, because it has become super inconvenient to do so. Thus I have docked this to two stars, and wholy recommend going with the more expensive theragun pro which is superior in every way at this point. It doesn't make me happy, in fact I feel I lost $300 on the achedaway

 A shame, because the battery still works great and it does give a good massage, it is just their friction based head attachment that let's everything down. In the next iteration I hope achedaway can create a more robust attachment system like what theragun has, with the little metal ball: it stays in place very solid, and is also easier to replace heads. a shame.  Update 4/15/2021: I received a small rebate for the squeaky button, and an assurance that the longevity should not be affected

 And then you have the Theragun which kind of started it all all the way up at $600 and the Aked Away Pro massage gun is kind of right in the middle at $299. And here's everything you're getting at that price point. This massage gun features a 3200 milliamp battery and that's going to give you at or just above four hours of run time and that's kind of what I've been getting with it myself. The battery is removable and rechargeable although for myself I haven't had a need to remove the battery from the gun yet because you can just plug it in from the bottom and charge it that way

 The Aked Away Pro has 16 millimeters of amplitude and essentially what that means is the depth of how deep the attachments are going in and out of the gun. So I believe that's on par with Theragun but I do believe it's quite a bit more than a lot of the other massage guns out there on the market which are typically 8 to 10 millimeters of amplitude. So not only is this gun going nice and deep but it's also doing it at a force of 80 pounds which is more than most of us will need. This massage gun features five different speed levels

 When I'm using it myself I'll often find that I have different recovery tools, have like a pokey foam roller that I like using on my back as well as a few other things. This is just about my back specifically that I can get to easier versus using this massage gun. Now if my wife's home and I can lay on the ground then she can use the massage gun on my back and I really like it then. But I think that's just going to be a limitation with all massage guns is it's you're not going to be able to get into every single area by yourself

 This one right here is just the general massager which you can use anywhere. You can see they're pretty easy to take out. This one here is supposed to feel more like somebody's thumb. Let's crank this thing back on

 This gun has five different settings. This is just the first one. Let's crank it up. That feels good

 However, I would like to see a Round foam tip added to the unit.  I would like to see a unit on the market that uses a rheostat instead of a button with Preset intensities.  The Unit can be harder to grip if you have smaller hands and if there is any grease from the skin that gets on it, it can become slippery. I would like to see some textured engraving/ grip Tape over the Handle

There's a little cut on the bottom, opening this guy right up, ooh, alright, a nice hefty case in there, that's what I'm talking about. Alright, opening this case up, alright, as you can tell it's going to come with a couple of different heads, and the actual, of course, massage gun itself. Alright, looks like a legit gun, I like the handle of this guy, but then it's going to come with a couple of different pieces that you can get a couple of different stimulations from that

That 32 milliamp hour will give you about four hours of massage time, all counts on how hard you are pushing and at what strokes per second
