1zpresso J-Max

Coming to brewed coffee, we're happy to report that the J-max is no slouch in this department either.

Here's my experience: I bought a J-max grinder 4 months ago and was really enjoying it, build quality is amazing, I love grinding with it, great tasting coffee. One day it failed, the lever just wouldn't turn, I dont think I dropped it or anything but I dud constantly travel with it in my backpack so something may have happened there... Anyways I looked for 1zpresso support online and sent a message, It took a little bit to hear back but they inmediately apologized saying it was chinese new year and they were not in the office.

Like others have said, this thing could have been a 5 star product but the QA on the units sold here is screwing the initial experience. When I received the Jmax, it was completely locked up. Even after moving the adjustment dial to the highest (most coarse) setting, the grinder was still completely...

Take a look at the j-max and jx-pro. They’re considered the starting point for manual espresso grinders.

The J-Max is a great looking grinder with superb build quality. I just received my new 1Zpresso J-Max in the mail yesterday and thought I'd share a few of my initial opinions in case it may help anyone interested in picking one of these up. Keep in mine my use is primarily for espresso only, so your experience for other brew methods may be different. **Pros:**. This grinder feels very well-made.

I love the idea of hand cranking beans for espresso. But good golly folks! You'd have to be Hercules to do so with this thing. It was tough to grind a medium roast. Jerky at every turn. Took a long time. Just not my way to start the day.

Plus, with a Moka pot, you can use freshly ground coffee, which is the most important aspect of any coffee making. If your budget is $300, I would use most of that to get a really quality hand grinder like a J Max. That way you have a grinder that could handle espresso if you decided to upgrade later, but also can work for pretty much any other coffee technique, like pour overs, aero press, Moka pot, etc.

The design, the build, the way it operate are all top notch. The J-Max should have gotten a five star from me.
