It also has extremely wide viewing angles, which is great for wide seating areas since the image doesn't lose accuracy from the side. It's fine for rooms with a few lights around because it has incredible reflection handling, but it doesn't get bright enough to fight glare.

If you want something larger for under $1,500, look into the LG OLED65A1PUA. It's a no-frills alternative to the LG C1 OLED, which explains why you can get it for cheaper, but that means it doesn't have as many features as it's limited to a 60Hz panel and doesn't have any variable refresh rate (VRR) support. Still, the picture quality looks fantastic because it has the same near-infinite contrast as the C1, making it an exceptional choice for watching movies in the dark. Sadly, it has poor out-of-the-box accuracy, and you'll need to get it calibrated to enjoy it to the fullest with accurate colors. It has much better out-of-the-box accuracy than the C1, and it has better processing, making it a better choice for watching movies. It's very well-built and has a stylish center-mounted stand that should look nice in any setup. It's available in a few sizes in this price range, from the smaller 48 inch version to the 65 inch size, and they all perform like the 55 inch variant we tested.
