Zpacks Duplex vs Marmot Tungsten 2P

I want bug protection and rain protection because I don't like bugs (f ticks) and sleeping out gives me the creeps sometimes, so not really into the tarp and bivy. It seems to me like the Zpacks Duplex (occasionally bring my wife or a friend) would be a good option, being 19oz and having bug and rain protection integrated (not a tarp or bivy system, so it's simpler i.e. one piece)

I had the limelight 2P, but replaced it with the Tungsten 2P and am glad I did. Some little features, like the metal center hub (vs the plastic on the limelight) are a nice touch, but the best part for me was the 2 doors/2 vestibules. The Limelight only had 1 door/vestibule, which is fine when I’m solo, but when I’m camping with my kids I’d rather not climb over them or them me in the middle of the night. The extra vestibule also means we can all keep boots and other gear outside but still dry

\- I like a larger space away from flies and mossies in Oz to hang out and read at the end of the day if required. Also if holed up avoiding rain the extra space is nice.

Use a bic lighter instead of the fire starter, invest in a quality sleeping pad with like a Nemo alpine (can use in winter) it’s way more comfortable than what you selected. Go with the Tungsten 2p tent, it’s a quality tent that will last. You don’t have to be ultralight but you should seriously take into consideration the weight of the items and more importantly the size of the items in making your decision on what to buy.

So I won't go into any more specs on it because I'm sure you can find a lot of information out there about it. Let's talk about my opinion of this ten...

I have had the opportunity to use this tent a few times since I received it a few weeks ago. The weight is it’s biggest downside, being heavier by at least a pound, compared to other backpacking tents I was looking at. The stakes bend easily, but are also economical to replace. The reason that I went with the Marmot Tungsten 2p was for its durability and endless reviews of how it stands up to wind and rain
