The frets seem to all be even on mine, and the single-cutaway body lets one reach the highest notes without straining too hard. The pickups are pretty good; their casing is, again, cheap-looking plastic, but I've yet to have an issue with their functioning. I just got a warwick thumb, my 3rd warwick and i gotta say out of the 20+ basses i own this has to be my favorite, and i own everything from a squire j bass, to a fender american ultra p bass, and a couple of rickenbackers. Absolutely adore the thumb, the tones are incredible and the neck is super comfortable, only con i can think of, is MAN this thing is heavy.

This is my first bass guitar so I'm not exactly experienced, but I'm extremely happy with my RBX170. The sound is great, it looks good, and as a bonus it's fairly lightweight and has a thin neck which makes it easier for a short girl like me. It also stays in tune for weeks and weeks, unlike my acoustic guitar which I have to tune every time I play! I did extensive research on which bass to buy and all the reviews pointed me towards this one (there are a lot of YouTube clips of it being played as well, which is helpful when you're buying it online). Probably the best in its price range

98 German Warwick Thumb BO. The playability of that bass (while sitting down - what an atrocious neck dive while on a strap) was out of this world. Finger, tap, slap, every sound just wanted to jump off the bass.

No regrets at all, it is a fine playing and sounding bass guitar. Two volume knobs control which pick ups you want to use, with just enough difference between the 2 to be useful. The neck is a bit wider than on other bass guitars I have played, making it a bit heavier to play for my short fingers but then I am more a guitar player, so I expect to struggle a bit! Unless you start playing like Billy Sheehan and do lots of string bending, this bass will stay well in tune and will give you lots of value for money. I enjoy it and find myself recording bass lines to (guitar-) solo over and ended up writing some tunes in the process, something I rarely do on the guitar
