Logitech G920 vs. Thrustmaster TMX pro

 So This is the TMX Pro from Thrustmaster, this is my new stand, wheel and pedals, I have the shifter and everything, the handbrake coming soon. so soon I'll have an unboxing on that as well and sorry for my squeaky chair. So Let me go ahead and set the GoPro up and show y'all what's inside this box, But first thing that's on top of it is the pedals, the pedals that you get and you have the stand wheel and then this is just pretty much showing off the shifter which I am going to order soon. Let's go ahead and unbox this now, it has force feedback and what not

Thrustmaster TMX PRO Force Feedback Racing Wheel REVIEW! - UNBOXING

 So in the end what do I think about the Thrustmaster TMX Pro especially someone who came from the T100 which is long gone they don't make it anymore this is kind of its replacement not kind of I think it is its replacement but came from the T100 all the way up to now the TSPC racer how do I feel about this product well all in all I do got to say for the price this is absolutely awesome I believe I probably would have prolonged my upgrade if I would have started with this wheel before going to the Thrustmaster TX or you know T300 as a similar wheel probably would have prolonged it because my main grip with the T100 was the size of the rim which is this is the stock size of the Thrustmaster TX or the T300 rim it's maybe not as thick as those rims but it is a stock diameter and the T100 was quite small I think that was only a nine inch rim if I remember correctly another thing is this has 900 degrees of rotation whereas that was only 240 thirdly the paddle shifters are great they're not little plastic switches this is actually better paddle shifters than what comes stock on my 2013 Cadillac CTS-V these are actually decent paddles and then in this TMX Pro configuration what we're looking at here the pedals are actually pretty darn good I really like these T3PA pedals I kind of see what everyone's talking about as far as the conical brake mod and just how how smooth the pedals are although they're completely constructed of plastic they have a metal spring underneath that is lubricated and with some grease on it and it just feels it doesn't feel plasticy I was expecting the arms to feel very plasticy and I was expecting to feel maybe a little bit of grinding from the metal spring on the plastic but all in all this feels like a quality piece the force feedback on this can be quite strong you do feel some of the gearing in it especially when the force feedback gets up there a little bit and like I said before in situations of drifting it is slow to respond in the counter steer so you're not going to want this wheel unless you turn force feedback off I did not try that but you're not going to necessarily want this wheel for drifting scenarios and lastly because it is a plastic rim with rubber side grip extensions it does make your hands a bit sweaty so I definitely recommend some gloves and you could also feel the screw mounting holes that you know kind of piece the two sides of the wheels together through the rubber side grips extensions honestly while I was racing I didn't notice it literally I just noticed it now while I was talking and I was feeling my hands along the back but when you grip the wheel your hand doesn't really get annoyed or you don't really feel those holes but they are there so I have to tell you. So all in all I do got to say for this price point Thrustmaster hit it way out of the park this is a great entry wheel and I think it will serve people longer durations before they feel like they need an upgrade and what that does for Thrustmaster it kind of like pushes them towards the accessories like the TH8A which was not necessarily an option for me without getting the USB cable when I had my Thrustmaster T100 so hopefully this helps you in your buying decision I don't feel this is a replacement for a Thrustmaster TX or TS PC racer if you are looking budget minded what can you get to get you into it and you want to get away from the controller or you know console racing and you have a decent enough PC for PC sim racing I recommend this just make sure that you buy within your means and you buy at a level that you think is going to make you happy for a while because then I just want to segue into this you can spend more by spending less initially like I did I had the T100 and I knew I was going to want more and instead of buying the TX or the T300 initially like I thought I probably should have I ended up buying them anyway and selling my T100 used which is less than new even though these tend to hold their value pretty well surprisingly but just make sure if you are going to buy the TMX or think about how much time you are actually going to put into sim racing think about honestly how much you want to spend and make sure that if you are buying this you are comfortable with having it for a while because it probably will serve you for a few years without any issues don't buy it with the notion of I may upgrade if I like this because you are probably going to like this and then you are going to sell this used probably at a discount from what you bought it for and now you are buying a TX T300 or TS PC racer which would have saved you money in the long run so tip from someone that actually fell into that trap myself so I am Crash this RTA Motorsports definitely subscribe hit that like button it definitely helps me out greatly more than you know and as usual see you all next time. i hope you update and specify the weight of the item in general because it says 7.2 pounds but in general is 17.2 pounds for some people is not issue but for people like me, who import from usa to latam its different, but the product all good

 So this review is largely relevant for both the TMX and the T150. So we'll start with a tour around the TMX Pro wheel and pedal set that I have on my table here, then in the second segment of the video we'll have it installed on my cockpit, and we'll talk about how it performed in racing games, and all the things I liked and disliked about the TMX Pro.  I have also gotten a chance to compare the Logitech G27 steering wheel for pc with the TX, and there are a few things I feel I need to say. I did purchase the Ferrari GTE F458 Wheel for one of the wheels, but for the sake of this review, I will not compare it against the G27.  TX vs. G27 The TX has much better feel in the force feedback than the G27 hands down

? The peddles are disturbing(at least the original gas and break) and do not stick well at all to the ground. If you place them on a wooden floor and give them a good push like you are applying the break and they are not braced by something, you are just going to push the entire peddle system. No joke. I usually have to set my left foot on one side to keep the peddles from moving away from me with my pushing

 You pay a good $150 more for just the wheel and the peddles then you do the G27 with the stick and the clutch.  Honestly, I would say that you need to look at the reason you are purchasing this item. If you need a wheel for Xbox One, you are going to need to get the TX(unless you look up one of those adapters on Youtube that supposedly let you use the G27 on Xbox). If you want a cheep one that does it all for your pc, why are you looking here? get out of here! The G27 is a much better deal

I'm debating between one and two stars here but I'll give two for the moment, as I am currently awaiting receipt of a replacement for this product.  I would describe this product most briefly like this: A cool idea that is a complete pain in the neck.  The wheel needs a firmware update before you can use it so I did that first. The Thrustmaster web site has a download link and instructions for how to do it but between the web site layout and the fact that they clearly do not employ actual writers, the whole process is a lot harder than it needs to be

But I followed the instructions, downloaded and installed the update software to my PC, then plugged the wheel into my PC's USB port. After my PC went through the rather laborious process of getting and installing drivers, the update software could not recognize that the wheel was actually connected

Worked GREAT for about 15 minutes.

 The base is heavy even without the wheel, and it's understandable as there is a lot going on inside. There's motors, pulleys, and the system's power supply to weigh it down. There's a reasonable chance that the Tx base will be the most substantial piece of hardware on your desk, and I'd make sure once desk is sturdy enough to support the weight and clamp force needed to keep it in place. The base material is hard plastic with vents for airflow to keep the motor inside cool

 The brushed aluminum frame and paddle shifters give the wheel a solid, weighty character. It gives the idea that this was made for and can handle consistent use. The Tx Racing Wheel is not simply hardware that controls your vehicle's actions on screen. It is also reactive responding to road conditions, speed, and your vehicle's control

 The buttons on the wheel face are formatted after the Xbox Microsoft console. Owners will be immediately familiar with the x Y setup, although the buttons are split between the two sides, with X and Y being accessible by one's left thumb and a and B by one's right thumb. There's a directional pad as well located on the left side of the wheel. Otherwise, navigating through menus would be a pain by turning the wheel left and right

 I tried to use it and couldn't get it to work - it wouldn't get recognized by the xbox as a new control. I looked it up online and several people had problems along these lines. Usually they got it solved by sending the wheel back and getting a new one, not an option for me since I am abroad. (Why you can't just fix such a problem with a PC-installable firmware upgrade eludes me

 The pedals are plastic but take reasonable punishment (metal pedals would be a lot pricier and heavier.)  The only thing that is underwhelming is getting your wheel working and fine tuned, first when you install the wheel and later when you want to use a new game. You should be able to plug in the wheel when you buy it and from then all games should recognize it and use it as the default input with no further tweaking. That was far from my experience:  - On the PC there was software to install initially, which you need to download for the latest version

  My setup has the TH8A shifter, T3PA pedals, and the Ferrari GTE wheel. All toghether it comes to be a little on the expensive side, but you can minimize cost by looking around for deals. All things considered this setup ultimatelly comes up to be slightly lower, or at worst at the same price as the competition from what I've seen. Also if you are a racing fan, it is a small price to pay for the experience, as it is safer and way cheaper than real racing

At first I thought that Microsoft and Turn 10 where crazy to makes buy another wheel, but when you feel it you know they had to make it.  You can feel a lot more than you use to in last gen wheels. Bumpy roads, bricks, when your car slides, tires griping over the corners, if your wheels aren't touching the road.  It is just as when I changed my Xbox (original) wheel for the Fanatec (Xbox 360) wheel, you have to feel it to believe
