 The wheel size is also an important note, I used a Logitech wheel for a while and the extra couple of inches this wheel has makes it a totally different experience. It is the difference between feeling like you're using a toy and feeling like you're using something that was lifted from an actual car. The paddle shifters are also fabulous, they give a satisfying feedback and are easy to use.  The motor in this wheel is the star of the show

 The stitching is a little crude in places but it feels mostly pretty luxurious, it feels like a wheel you could find in an expensive car. If you aren't familiar with alcantara it's difficult to describe but it is lovely to touch and aside from wearing gloves it gives you the best grip possible on your wheel.  I have also gotten a chance to compare the Logitech G27 steering wheel for pc with the TX, and there are a few things I feel I need to say. I did purchase the Ferrari GTE F458 Wheel for one of the wheels, but for the sake of this review, I will not compare it against the G27.  TX vs. G27 The TX has much better feel in the force feedback than the G27 hands down

? The peddles are disturbing(at least the original gas and break) and do not stick well at all to the ground. If you place them on a wooden floor and give them a good push like you are applying the break and they are not braced by something, you are just going to push the entire peddle system. No joke. I usually have to set my left foot on one side to keep the peddles from moving away from me with my pushing

 You pay a good $150 more for just the wheel and the peddles then you do the G27 with the stick and the clutch.  Honestly, I would say that you need to look at the reason you are purchasing this item. If you need a wheel for Xbox One, you are going to need to get the TX(unless you look up one of those adapters on Youtube that supposedly let you use the G27 on Xbox). If you want a cheep one that does it all for your pc, why are you looking here? get out of here! The G27 is a much better deal

I'm debating between one and two stars here but I'll give two for the moment, as I am currently awaiting receipt of a replacement for this product.  I would describe this product most briefly like this: A cool idea that is a complete pain in the neck.  The wheel needs a firmware update before you can use it so I did that first. The Thrustmaster web site has a download link and instructions for how to do it but between the web site layout and the fact that they clearly do not employ actual writers, the whole process is a lot harder than it needs to be

But I followed the instructions, downloaded and installed the update software to my PC, then plugged the wheel into my PC's USB port. After my PC went through the rather laborious process of getting and installing drivers, the update software could not recognize that the wheel was actually connected

Worked GREAT for about 15 minutes.

 The base is heavy even without the wheel, and it's understandable as there is a lot going on inside. There's motors, pulleys, and the system's power supply to weigh it down. There's a reasonable chance that the Tx base will be the most substantial piece of hardware on your desk, and I'd make sure once desk is sturdy enough to support the weight and clamp force needed to keep it in place. The base material is hard plastic with vents for airflow to keep the motor inside cool

 The brushed aluminum frame and paddle shifters give the wheel a solid, weighty character. It gives the idea that this was made for and can handle consistent use. The Tx Racing Wheel is not simply hardware that controls your vehicle's actions on screen. It is also reactive responding to road conditions, speed, and your vehicle's control

 The buttons on the wheel face are formatted after the Xbox Microsoft console. Owners will be immediately familiar with the x Y setup, although the buttons are split between the two sides, with X and Y being accessible by one's left thumb and a and B by one's right thumb. There's a directional pad as well located on the left side of the wheel. Otherwise, navigating through menus would be a pain by turning the wheel left and right

 I tried to use it and couldn't get it to work - it wouldn't get recognized by the xbox as a new control. I looked it up online and several people had problems along these lines. Usually they got it solved by sending the wheel back and getting a new one, not an option for me since I am abroad. (Why you can't just fix such a problem with a PC-installable firmware upgrade eludes me

 The pedals are plastic but take reasonable punishment (metal pedals would be a lot pricier and heavier.)  The only thing that is underwhelming is getting your wheel working and fine tuned, first when you install the wheel and later when you want to use a new game. You should be able to plug in the wheel when you buy it and from then all games should recognize it and use it as the default input with no further tweaking. That was far from my experience:  - On the PC there was software to install initially, which you need to download for the latest version

  My setup has the TH8A shifter, T3PA pedals, and the Ferrari GTE wheel. All toghether it comes to be a little on the expensive side, but you can minimize cost by looking around for deals. All things considered this setup ultimatelly comes up to be slightly lower, or at worst at the same price as the competition from what I've seen. Also if you are a racing fan, it is a small price to pay for the experience, as it is safer and way cheaper than real racing

At first I thought that Microsoft and Turn 10 where crazy to makes buy another wheel, but when you feel it you know they had to make it.  You can feel a lot more than you use to in last gen wheels. Bumpy roads, bricks, when your car slides, tires griping over the corners, if your wheels aren't touching the road.  It is just as when I changed my Xbox (original) wheel for the Fanatec (Xbox 360) wheel, you have to feel it to believe

  Pros: It works with Xbox 360 and PC (Mac over parallels and boot camp, I tried both and worked great) Truly new force feedback engineering. Quieter engine. Really Strong. Terrific control and test panel (PC Only)
