The best camera for landscape photography we've tested is the Sony &alpha;7 III. It's well-suited to landscape photography thanks to its remarkable battery life that should last through long days of shooting depending on your usage habits. If you're mostly into photography, the a7 III still has plenty to offer, including a still-competitive autofocus system, 10 fps burst shooting, and one of the longest-lasting batteries you'll find on a mirrorless camera. You lose out on weather sealing, touch navigation, and Sony's new-and-improved menu system. However, these are small prices to pay for a camera that still holds up remarkably well to newer competition when it comes to image quality.

If you're looking for slightly better build quality and ergonomics, stretching your budget a little will nab you the Nikon Z 6II, a worthy competitor if you can live with shorter battery life and fewer lens options. The Fujifilm X-T4 is another fantastic all-arounder in this price range, with style for days and a more portable body, though that size comes at the cost of image quality because of its smaller APS-C sensor.

 On top of that, I could preview and transfer images to my phone, but not video. They were always grayed out. In my opinion, Sony needs to do better, we're talking about software here, it's not a significant ongoing expense. We don't need a ton of features, but auto focus, control, time lapse and complete file transfer should just do it, develop it once and then make everybody happy

 There seem to be a lot of confusing overlap, but once you dive deeper into each setting and dial down to the one that you want for a particular situation, it works really. Well, I'm going to do a follow-up video dedicated just to autofocus, because I think there's just so much to cover but coming from Canon, which I still think has my favorite autofocus for video. This is the first time where I looked at a Sony camera and I was pretty impressed. For example, I really like the flexibility of being able to control how much of a change the camera needs to detect before shifting focus and then on top of that, having control over how fast or slow it's gon na rack focus

 The gh 5 has a much smaller sensor and a larger body, so it makes sense to be able to do a better job. Now. Having said that, the image stabilization does make a difference which, like I said, is noticeable for someone who shoots a lot with Canon. So here's a comparison of the a7 3 and the Canon RP which doesn't have in body image stabilization

 Let'S start out by talking about the sensor and the processor, and the a7 3 has a 24 megapixel full-frame BSI sensor and the Bayan Zechs Image Processor. If I'm comparing it to another one of my favorite cameras from 2018, the Fuji XT three - that camera comes with a twenty six point, one megapixel sensor, but it's an aps-c sensor. So going back to the a7 three without getting into the nerdiness of BSI or backside. Illuminated sometimes you'll hear it called bi or back illuminated

The 6 Best Cameras For Photography - Spring 2022

It's become clear that the A7C overheats shooting 4K24/4K30 around the 1:20 or 1:30 mark. This is not even recording continuously, it's just having the camera turned on (for CamLink output or b-roll) that long at a time. I wanted to see if this "issue" lines up with what the A7C is capable of. I do video work for a living, so I am considering selling my A7 III and getting an A7S III as my main video shooter

8 lens. Obviously, the latter is the most expensive option, but it also has a coveted autofocus feature. For the former two options, I know that the difference only really comes down to the zoom capabilities (55mm vs. 85mm), but are there are other features on the 55mm lens that prove it superior to its 85mm counterpart?

 However, I am stuck on what lens to buy. I am currently considering the Sony Sonnar T\* FE 55mm f/1.8 lens, Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 lens, and ZEISS Batis 85mm f/1

 I mean the A7 3 is really borrowing a lot from other cameras in this series like the A7, R3 and the A9, but there are some standout things I do want to talk about in terms of handling the first off, the mode dial on top I Loved that they got rid of the locking piece I Really didn't like that you know this dial is not in a position where you're gonna hit it easily and that locking piece was just another way to slow you down as far as the touch screen codes to. but the fact is the A9 is quite a bit softer than this, This really maintains the resolution to a high standard to the point where it is possible to still get a little bit of moiré That being said, the Mori will almost never happen. It's very minor. Again, check the samples on DP review to see what we're talking about and it can easily be removed in post-processing Now on top of that, Sony's also tweaked the colorscience here and that's a really nice thing as well because again one of the other things that people complain to both Sony They didn't like the color science, but the red tones have been vastly improved and this really adds in the rendition of skin tones

 I then tried to use the manual focus but nothing happens, I remembered I had to turn the manual focus option on, so I get into the menu and the focus mode option is greyed out, if I try get into the option an error message "your lens is not supported or its installed incorrectly" shows up, only way to go is to shut camera off and turned it on again, which will return autofocus to work, but if i repeat the exercise it just stops working all over again, sometimes even without crop mode/zoom mode on, just by going from 28 to 70 mm on the lens, or even mid way, maybe 40 mm or 50 mm. Sometimes even the camera would pull me out of menu screen, I would click menu button, I am trying to navigate menu, then you can hear the focus mechanism moving and camera pulls me out of menu screen o regular screen, I have to press menu again, sometimes to be pulled out of the menu repeated times I re installed the lens (white dot with white dot, turn until click noise) golden plates on the lens are clean, did this 3 times, nothing. I called Amazon service, friendly person who quickly contacted me to Sony, and this is the part I did not like. We went through basic things to try and fix the issue, including resetting the camera, after which the issue presented itself quite quickly, so the person at Sony (again, a very friendly and helpful person) told me I needed to send the camera back to Sony for service

 I would strongly recommend to stay away from this brand, who knows, in the future I decide to buy an expensive lens from them, and then if something is wrong, they only "repair" a lens, maybe even after asking for more money from me. No Sony/amazon, shame on you, bad business practice. Again, I want things to be clear : they HAVE NOT asked me to pay anything YET, as I just send the camera back to Sony, but the Sony person I spoke to made it very clear that they do not replace cameras with new ones if you receive a faulty one, they only "repair them" and that I MIGHT even be charged in some cases. This is my experience with the Sony a7III, and Amazon - Sony regarding this product, not good, not happy

I am a noob in photography, was lucky enough to have some money and I decided to go for this camera to start with astrophography. Out of the box, all things included as stated, battery works, lens (28-70mm) included, usb cable, adapter for battery to charge and obviously the camera, all of them arrived in what seems to be new condition, though the box did not had a tape seal (usually electronics have a small transparent seal on top of the segment of the box you use to open it) Upon using the camera I noticed an issue, with autofocus mode on, sometimes when I tried shooting with lens at 70 mm at subjects at bout 9 - 10 feet away indoors, or even stars at night outdoors with crop mode, autofocus would get me out of crop mode, if I activated crop mode again, autofocus would stop working altogether and then the function would no longer "exist", if I pressed the shutter release button halfway (all of these with camera place on auto mode), to try and get the autofocus to do its job, nothing would happen, then on the screen I would see the ISO at 12800, if i released the shutter release button the iso number disappears, if i press the release shutter half way again, the iso number 12800 appears again and it stays there until i release the shutter button, if i take a picture it is all blurry. Not working properly, might not get a replacement

That’s enough to make it through a day of casual shooting or at least one studio shoot on a full charge, probably with either camera. But if you’re using these for event photography, you’ll definitely want a spare battery or two charged up and ready to go.

The A9 has all of Sony’s bells and whistles, but it comes with a price tag to match. The new A7 models, however, bring many of the A9’s advancements down to more pedestrian price levels. These are certainly still professional level cameras — the A7 III runs for $1,999 without a lens, while the higher-resolution A7R III commands $3,199 — but the difference in price from the A9 leaves a lot of room for lenses or other necessary equipment. 

Of course, let’s not forget batteries. Both cameras use Sony’s new NP-FZ100 battery. It’s a big improvement over the last battery model used in the Alpha range, which was criticized for being small and inefficient. In real-world usage, I get around 600 shots before depleting the A7R

 Compared to a conventional sensor and previous generation Sony Alpha, the BSI chips process data faster and produce images with less noise. 

Sony’s latest professional mirrorless cameras pack a punch

I'd go the XT3 since it's a great price and already comes with a lens. The A7 III is a great camera don't get me wrong but what worries me is the seemingly large amount of people who have problems with it's shutter mechanism seizing up/outright breaking. 

Hi, my name is Ivan and I'm photographer from Croatia. :) Currently I own Nikon d610 and I'd Like to get a bit into video, get better autofocus and treat myself with New camera. I wanted to get a Nikon z6 but some of my lensws are tamron so I'd have to get tamron dock for calibration and that's a bit too much work and money (also only one card slot kinda bugs me). I came across very good second Hand offers for x-t3 and a7iii.I can get x-t3 with one prime for around 1200€ or a7iii with Zeiss 35mm f2.8 for 1700€. I'm kinda drawn to Fuji as it could be uses as a second Hand camera on My trips and I wouldnt have to Edit that photos a lot BC of film simulations. On the other Hand, Sony would be professional workhorse and I'd probably sell My Nikon gear over time to fully swich. +I'd probably buy capture one for editing Fuji files so price difference is minor. My brain says Sony but I'm kinda drawn to Fuji, I just don't know fully why. Please help.  My work are pretty much portraits and Street photography. Thanks :)

A Sony A7iii could be an option as they’re slightly lighter and, being an older generation, cheaper. The biggest bulk & weight is going to be your lens though and if you’re using it professionally I wouldn’t recommend cutting down on the quality of lens so I’m not sure how much you’re going to save in terms of weight and size overall to be honest!

I have the Panasonic S5, adapter Sigma MC21, Canon 16-35 f4 and the Panasonic 20-60. I used it for profesional work. 

Some thing change it and I have to move to other country. The Pana is heavy and big to go around.

I would like to know what camera do you recommend me. That has good video and photo but is smaller and cheaper.

I would like to know what camera do you recommend me. That has good video and photo but is smaller and cheaper.

Downgrade Panasonic S5

Before getting into the details, I'll just get the summary out of the way: This camera is fantastic. It is replacing my aging Canon 5D Mark III, and it does that job well. The biggest benefit for me is the in-body stabilization (SteadyShot), which works perfectly for legacy and other non-stabilized lenses. Fantastic camera with minor annoyances

 I started with Nikon, went to a Canon 5dmkii, have had other canons and also 3 fuji x series cameras  Firstly, what kind of company ships a $2000 camera without a battery charger? I get it, it can plug into your computer to charge or car adapter via USB-C. But that means more wear and tear on the USB port which will eventually be loose and then have issues. When I get home I prefer to take my battery out and put it on the charger which will tell me when its charged.  Second
