When that turns red starts to blink, you definitely want to swap out the batteries or recharge them at that time now by default comes on ramping. That'S the lowest light output very low, that's the highest output on the ramping. A lot of light coming out of that double click will get you 8

 So this is definitely more compact. Build quality on this is very nice and also feels very rugged, definitely want to get a good little holster for it. If you want to carry it on your side, i kind of wish they did have a lanyard hole. So you can put a lanyard on there to carry something like this after a while, you may drop it, and i landed will keep that from happening

 Now, quality control has always been good with sulfur and they make a lot of other lights as well. It'S got some well greased threads.  The light is clear over here: man, that is a really nice nice focused hot spot. Maybe a little more but not much super low light output on that. So now we're gon na go ahead and go to the next level here, we'll wrap it up just a little bit there that's 35 feet to that water spout 65 feet to that tree from where I'm standing there it is on the tree, will flood II, but It does have a nice focused area in the beam once you get on the higher outputs, this output, it is making tree of life faintly, which is nice. This is overall an excellent flashlight that broke after 1 year.  This is a large stubby flashlight that takes 3 rechargeable cells in parallel. The brightness is impressive while maintaining a high CRI. I use it for repairs around the house and looking underneath my car

 The battery life is excellent as it uses 3 18650 batteries in the lights small package. The user interface can be a bit confusing when you have not been familiar with it before as there are many different selectable modes. The basic ones are fairly intuitive however. I the flashlight is bright enough to get newspaper to smoke, but I couldn't get it to light on fire unfortunately

 One thing you'll notice with other lights that use a ramping interface is they tend to ramp too quickly at low output, and then too slowly at high output, due to the way our eyes perceive brightness. But a lot of work has been put into getting Andurl's ramping speed *just* right.  C-to-C charging works. I definitely prefer the ergonomics compared to a 4-cell light like the Sofirn Q8

 The run time with the 3 included batteries is long, and it never gets too hot like some other more expensive and big name offerings. With built in USB type C charger and included charge cord, I don't have to mess around extracting the batteries to charge up or top off. In my opinion, out of all the lights in my collection, my Sofirn's are the best bang for the buck, and offer a top shelf experience. I have 5 now, and have my eye on some more

 The construction, features and performance of this handsome beauty only makes me wish I bought one sooner. The neutral tint and throw pattern of the light is superb. Floody, yet excellent distance as well. Easy to find electronic illuminated side switch

 I have a lot of other "high performance " big name lights, but I've found this and my other Sofirn lights to be kick a**.

 They seem to be well built, well designed, and much easier to carry around and store. I placed one in a nightstand for middle-of-the-night power outages and one in the kitchen for home utility use. Satisfactory purchase all around.

I suspect the first flashlight may have been left in "firefly" mode--turned to the lowest setting rather than turned off. I don't know for sure because I hadn't been the one using it but it's an easy mistake to make
