I've been playing it non-stop for the past few days now, and holy shit is this thing good. I can't believe this bass was only €222 (roughly $260) because it looks, feels and sounds absolutely amazing for what it is. I used to have a Squier VM Stratocaster when I was just starting out, and although that being a more expensive guitar at the time, it felt pretty cheap.

Sire M7 6 string is a bit more than your target price, but worth way more in my opinion.

I ordered Hipshot tuning peg as well as the Hipshot A-Style bridge and put them on. And guess what, it's now SUPER SOLID! and the string is tight af heheh (side note: on the hipshot tuning peg you can adjust the tightness of the peg! and for the A-Style bridge you can adjust the spacing between all 5 strings!) Now this bass is officially not a Squier bass anymore after modification hahah. Btw I duck taped the logo because I still HATE when it says "Squier" on it lol! I might scratch it off someday and put Fender on.

Another option would be Sire, though I've never been the biggest Sire fan (others love them). Ibanez and Cort make fretless offerings at this pricepoint, and they're great, but they are unlined.
