There's a sniper button on the left side, which is a great feature for fans of FPS games. It has superb click latency, a very low minimum lift-off distance, and you can adjust your set CPI by steps of 50 using the customization software. It also has lots more buttons than many standard FPS-oriented mice, including a third side button that acts as a sniper button by default which shifts to a lower CPI setting while held so you can line up more precise shots. Its mouse feet are also very high quality, and it has a flexible paracord-like cable similar to other high-end mice. The scroll wheel also has L/R tilt buttons and a free-scrolling mode, rare features that aren't found on some of the more stripped-down, lightweight mice on the market.

Unfortunately, with the added bulk and extra features, it weighs in heavier than some gamers may be accustomed to, and smaller hands may have difficulty reaching all the buttons using a claw or fingertip grip.    * albeit this does provide grip, it just feels kindof weird to be gripping basically 900 grit sandpaper while playing games or doing stuff

I think the Basilisk truly trumps the g502 in basically every aspect. The design is lighter, the shapes are the same, the hardware is better, the software is better, the rgb is better, and the skates are phenomenal. If you are choosing between the two, and you need the large amount of macro capacity, the basilisk is definitely the better choice as hypershift is pretty useful. 

It features a PMW 3325 sensor (absolutely no issues with, and the 20g acceleration could not spin out as hard as I tried) pretty much flawless as sensors get. up to 10,000 dpi. not as good as the 3335, but the chance of you noticing is quite small. 

3 grams heavier than the original g703 at 98 grams (although the manual states its around 90 grams and the amazon page puts it at 95) but I'm sure my weight is accurate as I used it to weigh my Razer basilisk x hyperspeed and rival 3 wireless.
