Sennheiser has been rolling with the same design for 20+ years and boy does it show. The clamping pressure is so high that its honestly just not comfortable to wear until you really bend them out over a span of books for a while. While headphones less than half the cost have nice leather headbands, metal earcup yolks, etc, the Sennheiser is the same hard plastic covered spring steel headband with plastic yolks they've been making for decades. It just doesn't feel like a product I'd just spent $350 on

It is not neccesity to be a open back i just want to a headset that do not make my ears sweat. I have found philips shp9500 but when i check rtings.com it is claim that arctis 3 better than this and, i want to buy a better headset than i currently own. My max budget is 80 dollars

I say this so you know I wasn’t trying to review these phones with some underpowered smartphone, or cheesy little under-powered amp with an off-label DAC. I streamed 24-bit FLAC to it and CD’s, as source material. I listened to these for well over 100 hours after 100 hour break-in, so my impressions are not rushed to judgment. My other headphones all use this OPPO, and the results are so very different than with the 650’s

Makes me wonder, whatever happened to the sub $150 headphone market? When I first started this hobby, this was where the action was. You had stuff like the SR60/SR80, K81/K181, the Shure 440/840/750DJ, Audio Technica AD700, HD555-558, HD280,DT440/860, CAL/D1001, 7506, even Ultrasones were options here. I took a break for a few years and just recently came back in 2020, and man, this price category looks barren.
