The Panasonic LUMIX GH5 II is arguably one of the best 4k video cameras you can get outside of buying a dedicated cinema camera. It has a Micro Four Thirds sensor and has plenty of advanced video features, making it a popular choice for amateur filmmakers and videographers. It feels incredibly comfortable to shoot with, has a fully articulated screen to make shooting video easier, and features five-axis in-body image stabilization to reduce camera shake when shooting handheld.

The camera supports many recording formats and video codecs, including All-I compression for those who prefer to do frame-by-frame edits with higher-quality video files.  That'S where we're still going to see some advantages on the other guys, no record limit for the video i mean that opens up a whole bunch of stuff for wedding photographers event: videographers uh. You know anything like that. I mean this is great stuff yeah. I find the image very comparable to the fs7, which is you know, they're everywhere, because it's a great reliable, workhorse camera with a nice picture very comparable to that now we haven't tested the c200 or the new eva 1, but this is still going to fill the Niche for us, because we need a small mobile camera, especially with that built-in stabilizer

 You go uh huge update, but there's a bunch of other stuff that came along with that which we'll definitely be talking about. Also we have v-log on these cameras. You can see the ungraded log right now, so we're going to touch on that for a bit. But let's start with the headline feature, which has been there from this sure i mean we just recently did a tcs episode about external recorders and and how they, you know, enhance your bit rate on a lot of cameras, your color space, but the gh5 has, from The very beginning had internal 10-bit 422 and that's a huge advantage yeah, it's extremely rare, especially with like a hybrid camera like this

 But for us, where does this fit in the video camera world? And i mean the only real drawback to it. I can see is if you need good, continuous autofocus from your cameras right um. That'S where we're still going to see some advantages on the other guys, no record limit for the video i mean that opens up a whole bunch of stuff for wedding photographers event: videographers uh.  Yes, would you say that this is your favorite camera camera under 10 grand yeah i've been saying that a lot absolutely. If we have the choice of the fs7 or the gh5, i go to the gh5 for that stabilizer uh, the intuitive interface and then the fact that it's under 3 000. - that's just crazy. Well, i hope you guys enjoyed this gh5 review and thank you for being so patient waiting

Panasonic GH5 Review (After 6 Months!)

Almost perfect, the best 4K color depth video camera (prosumer) BUT for the autofocus problems in keeping the main subject in focus. Firmware update to support 4:2:2 in 10bit color is slow and unavailable as of August 2017. Recommend gimble stabilizer even with a LUMIX IS lens.

4K Color Video Powerhouse!

 I would stack the Olymous Zuiko lenses up against the branded Nikon lenses any day of the week. In addition, ignoring the difference in focal length my Panasonic/Leica f1.2 42.5 rivals my Otus f1

- Image stability - I am very excited for the improvements - but I definitely need to do a lot of testing to see how it really performs.

 Now there are some poor lenses too, but if you are willing to pay a little more I have found all of the Panny/Leica and Olympus Zuiko lenses to be very, very good.

 I may be naive, but I just ASSUMED it would be great for video (minor improvements in the GH4 would have helped maintain its status). The GH5 is roughly double the price of the GH4 so you will need to understand if the photo improvements and the upgrades in video are really worth it to you. For me.

One Camera to Rule Them All?

Love this camera. The stabilization has changed the way I film weddings. It's a thing of beauty to use a 70-200mm lens on a monopod for wedding toasts. The dual card slots is great to have

A GH5 or G9 is the way to go for you, in my opinion. Unless you’re spending around 3000$/£ or more, full frame makes no sense - you’ll be stuck with one kit lens and you’ll need another grand to get another. In APS-C land, Canon and Nikon have nothing interesting, only the more recent Fuji X series cameras are seriously capable video cameras, but at the price point of a GH5 they’re generally inferior.

I've photographed for a good 6-8 years now and I have had a few cameras along the way, but mostly all of them have been entry-level cameras.

Now I'm shooting with Lumix g7, and I have been thinking of switching to a more pro- or semipro camera as I have been doing work as a part time photo- and videographer for a few years and I feel like the g7 is not enough for what's required anymore.

So, I need some help to find the best camera that suits my needs. I would like to have a camera that can do a decent job in stills and has video capabilities of at least 4k 60 fps.

Right now I have been thinking between Canon R5, Sony a7 III and Fuji X-T4.  
The thing is, I will also need to buy some quality glass also, so I'm torn in between if I should buy a cheaper body with some quality lens and save some money, or just go ape shit and spend the extra dollar for R5 and the glass. Full-frame is a temptation of mine, but my brain says don't do it, since it is much more expensive.

What do you suggest? I'm also open to considering different camera body if you have different setup in mind.

Help need for new camera

This camera is a powerhouse for the price. Full disclosure, my first camera was a Panasonic SD camcorder back in 2005, then switched to a Canon Pro camcorder in 2009, then jumped on the Panasonic train again with the GH3 and was using them until I picked up the GH5.  The image is amazing, but that's not news. What is news - and hopefully will not be overlooked - is how much this camera is amazing to use

4 to f0.95 when you're changing focus during a shot). Image stabilization (I shot my last wedding 90% handheld with non IS lenses and the footage is gorgeous.) This camera fixes all the frustrations I had with the GH3 (which really were lack of stabilization and lack of focus peaking) and upgrades the image amazingly

Professional Videographer - Love this camera

The zoom as an all-round lens and the 85mm as a close-up when the zoom is used wide-angle. I don't think overheating will be a problem as interviews don't go longer than 30-45min either. With my old equipment I'm used to stopping recording after 30min, changing memory cards and batteries and then filming again briefly. Autofocus is also usable here and resolution for photos is optimal

This is an amazing little package that can give cameras 4 times more expensive a run for their money. The Lumix DC-GH5 is blurring the lines between prosumer and professional with features like 4k at 60p, 10-bit 4:2:2 recorded internally, plus many more. Future firmware updates will blur those lines even further with a 400Mbp/s bit rate codec! This is an exciting camera that will give you stunning photos and videos (admittedly more on the video side). A must own for the aspiring photographer/filmmaker on a budget

Sony improved the AF by a LOT (in all capitals to make it more dramatic) between the A7 II and the A7 III. The a6400 has the AF of the A9 II, so better than the A7 III, which is significantly better than the A7 II. Full frame isn't necessary tbh. You can keep your lenses since they fit the a6400

To keep you up to date I will shortly tell you my situation:  
I bought an a7ii with the 50mm 1.8 and later also bought the kit lens(28-70) to have some kind of zoom to be more flexible. Now that I've been Shooting a lot of street and Portraits of Friends/People (usually walking towards me) I found the autofocus to hunt a lot and sometimes miss the focus completely (therefore missing good shots) which is very frustrating. Don't get me wrong, the quality and recoverability of the RAW Files are insanely good but the whole process in itself (the taking a a photo) can be quite frustrating...  
Now the reason why I'm making this post. I'm actually thinking about ditching/selling my system and look for something else.I've looked at a lot of Cameras in the past few weeks and I am really impressed by the Fuji (xt-2) paired with the kit 18-55 and was wondering if that switch makes sense. Quality wise I feel like the Fuji system would be much better, maybe I'm wrong? I currently do not have a lot of budget so by selling it I would have enough to get the whole set and therefore I have some questions:

Will I be satisfied with the quality of the Pictures? (Medium sized prints, Publishing on Instagram, Recovery of shadows...) Or will there be a very great difference compared to my current System?  
The Autofocus seems very nice on the x-t2 (probably much better than on the a7ii) any experiences with the tracking autofocus?  
So overall it all comes down to if it makes sense for me to make the switch or keep shooting with it until I can afford better lenses/body. I really want to stick with a brand/System this time so I can get the most out of it and invest in quality pieces.

[Recommendation] Keep or Switch? (Sony FF to Aps-C)

 Trying my best to alleviate it with some editing, but it's just really hard to do so. This lens is meant for daylight and that's pretty much the performance on the A9. - with these three lenses, the 135 1.8 is a fantastic lens that 100 400 again I think my copy might be a little bit bad

 For that reason alone, it would be nice to have it in this. It's not a deal-breaker but if you're talking about improvements, that's what improvement I wish it was inside this camera is in regards to the card slots. Now yes, you have to UHS to card slots in this, but again, a sports camera. If you're gonna shoot a lot of shots in sequence, you want a car that can hold that kind of data transfer it can do well, right? it's gonna hold

 So yeah, this camera might not be I might not be able to show you everything that this camera can do, but you'll get the gist of it by the end of this review. Anyway, we're here to talk about the Sony A 9 to along with three lenses, the 135, 1.8 the 100 or 400 and a 200 to 600. Like all our reviews, we are not paid or sponsored
