Android ereaders take a hit on battery life. In terms of durability, theoretically any of the ones with screens using mobius flexible should be more durable.

I already have an iPad pro, so I don't NEED a stylus or a color display. If it comes with it, cool. I just want a big enough sized screen. Something durable that can last a while. Nightmode for the backlight would be nice as well. And something that allows me to install KOreader. I'm not super informed about e readers, so any help in choosing is much much appreciated. Thank you :)

Just looking to buy one that is 8+ inches, is durable, and allows me to manage my downloaded books well

The resolution sometimes not good enough for pdfs, and I bought to read pdfs. It still readable but with a better resolution it would be perfect for me this is why it is just 4 points. Otherwise I am satisfied with it and also with the pocketbook ecosystem

 The screen is very sharp and is hard to believe it looks as clear as a 300 dpi device. The only drawback and the reason it has been returned is that it is a little too heavy for someone with advanced arthritis in their hands. Other than that, I would highly recommend this brand and device.

It's a bad choice, it's not for you. If you are going to read PDF documents, then you need a big screen as 6 inches is far too small and zooming and scrolling on an e-ink display is not a good experience. I would recommend getting a 7.8 inch screen as a bare minimum

Thing is, I have no plans on buying books ever but have my library (the books I want to read) in my computer already as a mixture of .pdf files and .epub books. I read that (at least before) Kindle has sort of discouraged external media and instead is pushing for people to buy books from the Kindle store and use it that way and that way only, therefor I'm guessing perhaps a Kindle is not the best option for me? Or has this perhaps changed over the years, the latest Kindle Whitepaper comes with USB-C, is the .epub / .pdf reading support good, if it has any? Any other options?

Need something that handles "slide-loaded material" (.epub / .pdf primarily) really well!

 Now, very big note, these aren't apps in the traditional sense where you can sideload in OneDrive and Google Play and all that kind of stuff. This is a Linux-based device, it is not Android, therefore you cannot install or uninstall applications that you see here. Everything is just already pre-installed and decided for you.
