I couldn't convince myself to spend $70 on the olight S2R Baton but I wanted a nice purple light so I ordered this convoy S2 plus. The first time I ordered from gearbest but after a month or so it never shipped so I had to cancel and ordered it from AliExpress. First impressions are pretty positive. It feels well made I like the metal push button on the tail

 With quick reacting, I yelled at the would be intruder and as he turned around I activated the turbo setting and immediately aimed it toward his face, to which he responded by immediately hiding his face with his hoodie. For fear that he may have had a weapon on him, I continued to shine the turbo onto him so as he would not have visual confirmation on me. As he left my front door he attempted to break into another building across the street to which, acting out of pure adrenaline I chased him across the street and this time activated the strobe light causing him to abandon his attempt and fled, still covering his face with his hood as he could not function with the strobe on him. Several other events occurred after this, but they would be irrelevant to this review

I absolutely love the size! This small light is very durable and the magnet is strong. Unfortunately the one I purchased the battery didn't last long. Only other negative I have is I wish they would incorporate a power button on the bottom. (I used it for a night fire drill and the small power on the side was annoying)

 Here, look at that usually making a cross spark. The other part they're. Just incredible and I'm filling the head here: it's not getting hot and here's a little warm, but not getting hot at all. Very impressive

 It'S gon na have maximum throw. Of course, for this type, hopefully they'll be coming out with a smooth reflector and that's going to give you a sharper cut off from the hot spot to the spill area really looks nice on this all right. Sofirn SP70 Flashlight Kit Review!

**Sofirn Q8 Pro** for floody, **Sofirn SP70** in between and **Convoy L7** for higher longer distance performance. (I don't think the L7 would be useless at shorter ranges tbh, just not so floody for it).

There are plenty more lights out there at this price range but in my opinion these three represent the most bang for your buck i guess.

My dad just purchased a 100 acre ranch and I want to get him a good flashlight for xmas. Hoping that someone can point me in the right direction as I know nothing about high end flashlights.

Best flashlight for a farmer?

  The flashlight weighs in at 1 pound, 14.6 ounces which does not make it a very good candidate for a daily carry flashlight but it makes up for that in power output. This light can easily keep up with "throwers" three times the price with an awesome spot-to-spill ratio. There is a bit of a color shift from the XHP 70

 Thanks Amazon ;0)  As for my second flashlight I am quite pleased. It is very well built with a super-tough hard-anodized body. The knurled grip is very attractive and functional with a rear "grip-stop" that prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand. The grip stop also helps prevent the flashlight from rolling when laying on it's side

  The main function switch on the side has a translucent silicone cap over the switch which could in theory be a weak link in the flashlights durability. There is a replacement cap included in the box which makes me think that Sofirn though the same thing however no instructions or web-support (that I could find) showing how to service this switch cap. Great Flashlight - Second Go-Around

This flash light is perfect! Construction is top notch and will take a beating and continue for year's! Brightness and through are described perfect and have yet to find any flaws with the interface. Speaking of interface you have options you have two sets of programming options for whichever way works for you and the lock out function is easy! Standby glowing button is perfect when you are needing to find your flashlight at night and when you loose power, it also doesn't drain the battery rapidly!  Keep up the fantastic work Sofirn!!!!

That said, active thermal control would be nice over time step down. But that's more difficult to do at this price point I said it's got a huge output of 5500 lumens and good, throw at 687 meters. This isn't your longest distance thrower, but it's a pretty wide beam
