 They started to feel too tight so I loosened the laces but the bands pull the tongue in regardless. I would not recommend these shoes and will start looking for something else today. @NewBalance - Time to get rid of this design in my opinion.

*** Update: Well, after a few months and many, many miles -- around 150 miles -- these finally loosened up a bit and have wound up being pretty comfortable. But it was (literally) a long road to this point, and it shouldn't take that many miles to "break in" sneakers to get them to finally be comfortable. Sadly, several "misses" recently by New Balance makes me a bit gunshy to keep trying more. I may need to switch to another brand to find sneakers that will be more comfortable (or at least: not painful)

Older New Balances were better. These are actually painful.

 There's also no carbon plate in the shoe, it's simply your good old foam. It's a neutral shoe and for me this is coming in around about just over 310 grams, completely identical to the outgoing model. Really nice weight there, not too heavy but also not too light, just feels at the right amount of weight for a shoe in this class. There's an 8mm drop between the back of the shoe and the front of the shoe and also I'd call this quite a plush but responsive ride

 So that's it, just a slight couple of tweaks there with this redesigned upper and with the heel area of the shoe as well. So guys, should you go out and buy this shoe? Well, I have really enjoyed running in it. As to be expected, I got this out of the box and I just kind of knew you put it on, it's super comfortable straight away. You know it's going to be a fantastic shoe

 It's slightly more breathable up at the top here, but as I say, apart from that, there is nothing that has really changed. Some fancy new colorways that look really nice as well. So that's it, just a slight couple of tweaks there with this redesigned upper and with the heel area of the shoe as well. So guys, should you go out and buy this shoe? Well, I have really enjoyed running in it

NEW BALANCE 1080v11 Honest Review! STILL the BEST all ...

 Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin. Ed Budd here, your majestic majordomo with more sumptuous shoes. Today we're talking about the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 V11. We took it out for an initial inspection, a first foray and a darn good go

5 or US size 12, this cushioned Crusader clocks in at 310 grams, that's 10.9 ounces. Purchased with my own earth credits. Beware, beware, beware

 There's quite a bit more foam here in my UK 11.5, I'll tell you that for nothing. I found the shoes fit typical in terms of its sizing to a standard 11.5 in New Balance

Today its a first foray in the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v11, a super pillow like cushion for mile munching fun!

It has been purchased with my own earth credits and as such, i bring the truth.

I examine the upper, midsole, outsole and talk value, because earth credits are hard to earn, easy to spend.

NEW BALANCE FRESH FOAM 1080v11 REVIEW | eddbud

Going for a workhorse like New Balance 1080 or a Nike Pegasus seems to make sense here. Plenty of cushion without giving up stability and they reliably last a long time. Or try checking out the Vomero 16.

Hello all! I'm currently in the process of training for Basic Military Training for the Air Force and need some help choosing a pair of shoes to not only train in now until Dec. 7 (my shipping date), but will also last the entire duration of BMT (8 weeks). 

Currently, I've been running in my Nike Infinity Runs for about 6 months and they've only caused foot pain. I only run 2-4 times a week for a max of 2 miles a run, but my current Infinity Runs always give me pain in my foot. I've been doing a little research, and I think I've narrowed it down to 3 shoes:

* Asics Novablast 2
* New Balance Fuelcell Rebel v2
* Nike Invincible Run

Which shoe would you say has the most cushion and could also function as a daily trainer? Thank you so much in advance!

 Just nice lock down fit no blisters. No hot spots just bring been a joy to run in, and my final positive is just the versatility of this shoe. You can use this for all sorts of different distances, all sorts of different speeds, as i said earlier on, it really is what i call a daily shoe, but it can just have that little turn of magic where you want to get out there and say right. I'Ve got a speed session 200, some k reps now or some mile reps

 Quite comfortably and new balance have put their fuel cell their premium foam into this midsole. Here the same that you see in the rc elite, their flagship model, no carbon footplate in this shoe, as you can see, is not uh stiff, like the rc eliters. This is very much a road shoe. Yes, as always, we have taken this onto some light trails, but very much at home on the road

 I'Ve really got very different shoes completely redesigned, as i said, different upper different midsole different outsole two shoes that i've really enjoyed testing from new balance. We'Ve got the hoka bondi x, coming in very soon. Look how ah super stiff. This is with a carbon plate in it compared to the rebel so yeah

 So, that's it guys. That'S the review very much recommended definitely get out and check out this shoe and let me know down in the comments: have you had the rebel version 2? THIS SHOE IS ALMOST PERFECT! New Balance Rebel V2 HONEST REVIEW!

 Since then i haven't any problems um with the fit as it is. I don't mind the fit of the shoe too much, but there's definitely skype to go half size up uh around the rest of the shoe in the mid foot and the heel you get a nice solid, lock down fit no problems on any of those fronts. So i've done a 75k of running in the rebel 2 and it's a shoe, i'm still not 100 sure where i stand on it really threw me from the start. You know coming into the rebel shoe with this big stack of you know: nice springy foam

 This is now kind of a mesh with a separate tongue um, and it's got this kind of offset lace design. This lovely black line that comes into the middle there um and then it's got a decent amount of padding around the heel. Here, i have to say uh for a shoe that weighs 200 grams. This is really quite plush around the cushion here, there's a good amount of cushion, which does kind of point to the fact that this is a shoe

 My uk size 9 weighs 204 grams, which is 7 ounces kind of on the nose. I weighed it a few times it kind of hovered between kind of 200 grams and 204 grams. Whichever of those it is, that's a very light shoe for considering how much foam it's got here. Uh, it costs 120 pounds in the uk or 130 dollars in the us, and it has a six millimeter drop from heel to toe it comes to design

 The kind of black sections here are harder wearing so kind of key impact zones. Heel strikers like myself here or maybe around for your toe off at the front there um but yeah, they look quite durable to me. They'Ve come up and they've actually done a decent job of gripping in a good range of conditions. For me, during my run testing so yeah within your outer's range, it obviously comes in as a carbon plate free fast trainer, versatile trainer, as opposed to things like the tc, which are much more expensive

New Balance FuelCell Rebel v2 Review: One of the best daily trainers?

 Yeah this, this that's probably good yeah. This feels really great. The heel counter is about perfect in it just the open airiness of this mesh. It'S like like this is a screen door like your foot is, is gon na be able to be nice and cool on this shoe the one weird thing about this upper is the tongue

 New balance does say that this is their most bounciest responsive, type fuel cell iteration. Yet the other thing they did is they dial back? If you can see it has like a wing off to the side here, and you can see the exaggerated geometry, if i hold it up here, it kind of swoops out on the side they kind of tame that down a little bit, but it still has what's Good about that and what that did was, as you land went through your stride, it rolled you off your toe a little more easily, so you get that fast feel calming it down, bringing it in putting it on the softer foam. It just really creates a phenomenal feeling underfoot robert you're ready to weigh it. Aren'T you yeah, i mean i just the scale sitting there

New Balance FuelCell Rebel v2 | FULL REVIEW | Best Daily Trainer of 2021?

 After just 180 miles, the mesh on the inside of my left foot started to split, noticeably decreasing the comfort of the shoes and making them pretty much unusable. Really disappointing for a $130 shoe.

This was, at first, a great shoe but the upper was not well made and began to have issues almost immediately. The mesh that made up the lower half of the upper clearly was not up to New Balance's usual standards (I almost always get 300+ miles out of NB shoes). After just 180 miles, the mesh on the inside of my left foot started to split, noticeably decreasing the comfort of the shoes and making them pretty much unusable. Really disappointing for a $130 shoe
