The drop on these bad boys is a medium-range 8mm, with a 35mm stack - well-tuned for those days when you toe the line, whether it be against hard-core competition or your own damn self. I also like the stability they afford, given they are quite lightweight. These shoes are great for when you want to let it all hang out, leaving nothing on the table - whether it be a 5K, a half-marathon or beyond.

What running shoes do you use?

New Balance Fresh Foam 880. I run on the road/sidewalk mostly between a 5K and a half.marathon. I am currently on my 3rd pair and looking about my 4th pair right now. I went and had my feet scanned and these are the shoes that were best for my feet.

Elastic Bands in shoes created sores on tops of feet

These shoes felt very comfortable at first but I was switching between my 880’s and these and I was only doing short walks with these until yesterday. Once I put 10,000 steps in they left sores on the tops of my feet. They started to feel too tight so I loosened the laces but the bands pull the tong...

Slips off my heel!

For some reason this shoe slips off of my heel (even using a heel lock) when working out. I have tons of other new balance in the same size that are fine but this one just slides all over. Even walking in the neighborhood. Not my fav

Shoe recommendation for Basic Military Training

Going for a workhorse like New Balance 1080 or a Nike Pegasus seems to make sense here. Plenty of cushion without giving up stability and they reliably last a long time. Or try checking out the Vomero 16.
