Netgear CM500 vs Netgear Nighthawk CM1200

From my understanding this Modem can support 300 Mbps down over cable lines per the manufacturer spec. I'd hate to buy a new modem and have no luck with it either.

we turned it on for the first time on May 31st, and it failed yesterday, July 9th. Netgear normally makes fantastic devices, our AC3200 Netgear Nighthawk router has served us well for four years. eventually we'll have to buy a new one but four years is a long time for a router and I attribute its longevity and ability to handle massive amounts of traffic for four years straight to its superior technology and build. I highly recommend the Nighthawk routers, they are great

Have not needed any technical support, and even then I'm at least a little savvy so I know what to do when there is a problem amiss. Every time I have had an outage that a reboot can't fix, the culprit was usually the ISP, and they usually sort me out in about 5 or so minutes, or, if they can't sort me out, they usually tell me to just wait it out and I'm usually running again once the ISP side outage is clear, so shout out to Spectrum support for being so helpful even though I am running this modem and not a Spectrum product. It has been basically an "ol' faithful" since the day we got it and it handles 3 Xboxes, 4 TVs, 4 phones, and a tablet all having internet access AT ONCE without breaking a sweat in most cases. It works like a champ and is a good product
