Horrible for the money

 It can project a crisp (720p) image well over 100 inches from 10 ft plenty bright enough for night time viewing and the autofocus and keystone works pretty reliably. (This has no zoom so the closer it is to your projected serface the smaller the screen, but will also be a brighter image.) This would certainly be a 5 star product we’re it for one issue. The color reproduction isn’t the greatest

This projector projects a stunning image for its size. No, it cannot replace my rosin home cinema in brightness and clarity, but this thing is tiny, pocketable even with a serviceable battery. I love that it has usb c for charging and video. One hdmi may be a bummer but it is a travel projector and I believe that is acceptable

I am looking to buy a projector for my basement. Main goal is to watch sports in 1080P. I would like 4k, but to be honest, I dont really have any 4k content, other than what is free on Prime. I will have about 100" screen and about 10-12' from the couch to the screen. It is a walkout basement a large open space, so no dedicated room and there are windows (but i will buy blackout curtains). Any suggestions on a good 1080P projector? Any models i should look for on the secondhand market or refurbished?

Room Details:

Mounting point: Ceiling or back wall as far as 12&#39; from the screen.

Room Colors: Yellow walls, white ceiling, gray carpet (colors of wall and ceiling can change.

Ambient light: Windows along back wall and open space to rest of basement. (Will purchase blackout Curtains)

Looking for advice for first projector purchase

 No issues and qoute me on this I Will never go back to buy it a television again I like a larger screen over a sharper 4 k screen. The price is worth it because of the higher lumens I needed being next to a french door and especially great because of the higher contrast ratio compared to the cheaper models. Pay the extra 100 bucks for this model. Thanks and enjoy watching

 Not sure how to get a new firmware update as it is not listed on the Optoma website. Brightness is better than the HD26, but that might have something to do with the number of hours I have on the lamp.  That said, the HD27HDR is an improvement over the HD26 (which is very similar to the HD14x) in all ways. In 1080p SDR mode, the colors are deeper, the contrast is better, and I don’t get the pumping that I was seeing with the HD26

I picked an HD27HDR to replace an older HD26 that I had been using. The one that I received does not have any issues with color wheel noise, but it also only has a single HDR setting unlike what Optima said they were going to do. Great projector for the price!

Changing my review. I seem to review things right away before having time to enjoy them  Projector overall is really good at watched 3D movies phenomenal picture  I had 674 hours on my bulb which states 15000 hours I just changed it I bought an oem bulb I hope I get at least 5000 hours out of it not difficult to change but disappointing. My projector wooden light up completely I knew it was the bald I had to wait for my new bulb to put in to see how many hours I had  Little better picture than the HD 27 And that is due to the higher contrast vs hd27. Downside is you don't have the same feature if you turn on your PlayStation it will turn your projector on on the hd27hdr

Bulb lasted 674 hour claims 15000 but great picture even 3D just changed the bulb
