I’ve looked at the Winter Solstice 2020 edition posted by u/Zak and some of the flashlights seem to have been replaced by newer models. The Wowtac A4 V2 doesn’t seem to have the run time I need.

**Price Range**:  $50-$200.  I will need batteries and wish to charge from an Anker Quick Charge 3.0 battery bank (model A1311).

**Purpose**:  The main purpose is to spot light areas of the woods during search and rescue missions. I am in the Rockies so the trees are thick. I think I would need more of a thrower than a flood to reduce the amount of light hitting brush and trees near me.

**Battery Type &amp; Quantity**:  Rechargeable via USB Anker Quick Charge 3.0 battery bank (model A1311).

**Size**:  I don’t want this to be a small EDC. It should fit in my medium sized male hands. I’ve seen some of the thicker lights and I feel I might drop it if it’s raining and I don’t have a good grip. Maybe 7-8” in length.

**Type**:  Handheld

**Main Use**:  I will use this to spot areas up to 300m in the woods. I will mostly turn it on for a minute, sweep an area, turn it off and walk to the next area and repeat. I will use a headlamp for walking. I think color may be important to help pick out human clothes or wreckage against an earth tone background.

Search and Rescue Thrower

  It does not have tripod mounting threads.  It comes with an adapter so it works with flat or button top cells.  The price is fantastic, so for $100 it's tough to beat.

I would like to know if anyone has any personal experience with the options above. For the mk37 vs the 3x27a I would like to know about which of the two outshine one another.

For the U22iii vs the DM11 I would like to know more about pocketability between these two. I know both are more of a jacket pocket light but I still manage to fit a D4SV2 in my jeans.

 I thought that maybe it's because the color temperature was not as high as some of my other Cool White LED flashlights and that's why it didn't seem as bright. But now, it looks like by using UNPROTECTED batteries, one will get a bit more light output, and 8000LM is much more likely. To me the light seems well built and fits nicely in one's hand and is easy to hold. Although, some have not been happy with the build quality, so I guess time will tell with me

 I Don't know if you guys are going to see any kind of flickering or anything like that in the camera. Sometimes video cameras react weird to the light, but this does not have any kind of flicker or anything like that. It's super bright, super clean, steady. LED light, Let me go ahead

 However, you will have to make sure just like any other glow-in-the-dark product, that it's exposed to adequate daylight, so it'll actually be charged enough to glow at night. This Lantern is also capable of an alternate configuration that's quite useful for inside your tent. you can actually remove that globe and it has a hook that pops up the bottom and you can hang it upside down and you just have that exposed LED light but it does still have a protective case around it so this is great. Like inside your camper or your tent

 You can't adjust that down depending on what you need and as I showed you earlier, it does have an emergency strobe which is very bright, but just to show you guys on the highest setting, you can see out here on my back porch. all the lights are off so it's completely dark outside, but this thing definitely throws out some serious light now. I Don't know if you guys are going to see any kind of flickering or anything like that in the camera.  I Basically just stuck it under a lamp for about five minutes before we came out here. so it definitely will get brighter than this if you let it fully charge. UST 30 Day Duro Lantern Review

 I really only used the lowest setting in our camper/van because the others were too bright. I'm a bit concerned about battery usage/drainage because I use this lantern only when camping.

Three brightness choices

I bought this for our camp kitchen after going through 2 less expensive lanterns from a big box store.  It is most definitely bright, but I can speak to the '30 day' claim just yet.  I can say this was used on high quite a bit over the course of a cloudy rainy 3 day trip and it did not noticeably dim.

Versatile power-saving lantern, light weight and bright! Tent light feature was cool. Recommend this lantern, it's smaller, lighter and better than any of my previous camp lanterns.

 Another thing is the battery cover is easily removed but not replaced. You have to align a tiny tooth in the bottom of the cover before twisting shut. Not a friendly design feature in my opinion.
