 I can't recommend this backpack enough. The front hard shell is durable enough to give the right protection for a the backpack to handle bumps, etc. (without the stiff front shell it might drive myself/others to a full hard shell case which I tried and don't like for portability). Perfect level of protection for most common travel situations

 But a 13.3 or 14" laptop is ideal. I have DJI goggles also - I don't always use them because I have the 10inch tablet. But I have purchased a hardshell case with clips on each size that contours around the goggles with the goggles headband attached (I don't like taking the headband on and off again for traveling because I don't want to reduce the life expectancy of this connection) 

After trying several other cases solutions - you will love the BP250!!!

Picked this one due to limited options in the market for this size drone.  It works, its fairly warm on my back in the heat but its better than other cheap packs.  I've been quite spoiled by using heavy Cordura nylon.

It won't work for a 3 day hike.

 so i had to rearrange this whole bag around that as i expected. i dont like the phone holder, in case any of you dont know if you want to damage your heart or internal organs stick a cell phone on your chest all day. this bag has a cell phone holder right on your heart. i feel sorry for those who think this is a good idea

Just be sure the camping gear is stuff you would be comfortable using. You might try the WANDRD PRVKE 41L or shimoda pack or a https://www.wandrd.com/products/fernweh (However at 50L there is a risk of having to check it)

Pretty much, I'm trying to pack for RTW travel that would include both hiking, remotely working with laptop, and fitting in a carry-on; and I don't know how to look for advice from people that have done the same.

<p>EDIT: I should have added a few major details:</p>

<li>my pack is 40+10L. These 10L are a space in extendable roll-top, where I could pack things outside airport</li>
<li>my these 40+10L still don&#39;t account for  outside stretchy pockets , where I coul stuff things outside the airport as well. One big pocket could certainly fit a tent, a puffy jacket and a medkit</li>
<li>my tent is frameless, uses 1 trekking pole. I do expect this to be the largest butt-hurt and will either send that pole + stakes separately or will get new ones. Either way, I expect to move on land much more than by plane.</li>

I recently gave the Wandrd Prvke a trail run because I had heard good things, I hated it. My main turnoff of the Prvke is the roll top. I just can't do it. The comfort just isn't it either

The lower half of the shoulder straps is dedicated to rails for the sliding sternum strap—our favorite kind because of how granular the adjustment is. It’s a shame our sample didn’t come with one, though the 21-liter daypack volume of this version doesn’t necessitate one. There are also loops for attaching a waist strap, but again, they’re really not a must-have at this capacity. There are two ways to access the main compartment; via the rolltop or through the clamshell opening. As a rolltop, the PRVKE 21L’s volume is expandable; thus, the beefy G-hook is length-adjustable, and there are two sets of hook-side velcros on the front side where the strips of loop-side velcros at the back can attach to. This is fine for quick but partial access to the main compartment. For full access, though, clamshell access is the way to go
