I think the Basilisk truly trumps the g502 in basically every aspect. The design is lighter, the shapes are the same, the hardware is better, the software is better, the rgb is better, and the skates are phenomenal. If you are choosing between the two, and you need the large amount of macro capacity, the basilisk is definitely the better choice as hypershift is pretty useful. 

It features a PMW 3325 sensor (absolutely no issues with, and the 20g acceleration could not spin out as hard as I tried) pretty much flawless as sensors get. up to 10,000 dpi. not as good as the 3335, but the chance of you noticing is quite small. 

3 grams heavier than the original g703 at 98 grams (although the manual states its around 90 grams and the amazon page puts it at 95) but I'm sure my weight is accurate as I used it to weigh my Razer basilisk x hyperspeed and rival 3 wireless.
