 I ran a trial without using Chrome to see if that would make a difference; it didn’t. And this result actually seems to be a bit on the high side — Tom’s Hardware got an even pithier two hours and 19 minutes on a synthetic streaming benchmark.  

Build quality is another strength. Like most of its ThinkPad siblings, the X1 Extreme feels quite durable. As a major negative point in the ThinkPad P1 Gen 2, the CPU performance clearly stands out. It is not abysmal, but quite the opposite: The ThinkPad P1 2019 is a very powerful laptop. However, overall we still need to point out that the CPU performance remains below that of the predecessor model. So in this regard, the new ThinkPad P1 is not an upgrade at all

 Compared to the ThinkPad P1 2018&nbsp;and many older workstation laptops of similar builds, mainly the Nvidia Quadro T1000&nbsp;represents a good performance upgrade, while the CPU performance is the weak spot of the ThinkPad P1 2019.

The Enter key is SO soft and mushy and I've noticed many of the keys, like the pair of Space bars, are also soft and don't register contact multiple times. VERY frustrating as I can type around 50 wpm and I'm having to Backspace WAY too much! GRR!. I want to send this POS back and try another brand, but I've found no other alternatives in my searches.

 It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students. Having 2 classes in row will mean you're looking to sit near a plug in class to keep it charged. You can dim the screen down but that's not always possible when you're in a bright classroom

 My old model, with a card slot, I routinely swapped out cards depending on my usage. I was hoping the battery life was some improved. It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students

Good but with some disappointments.

We did not open the shrink wrap as there was no indication of a keyboard. Be aware of false depictions of keyboard included even in the video. Otherwise, the product should be ok if you want a tablet, not a PC.
