Exactly what I was looking for: an ultrabook level laptop which can handle anything you throw at it! Thin, light, and sleek, but under the hood, packs a Ryzen 7 5800H and an RTX 3060 with 100W TGP, and advanced optimus (aka, the mux switch).

Overall, a great buy if you want a light laptop with excellent performance, capable of playing AAA games at maxed out graphics!

4) Corsair software drains battery: was surprised to see the laptop drawing >15W of power in idling, when the CPU Package only was drawing 2-5W. Tried disabling the Corsair services, and now getting fantastic battery life: 4-8W power when idling and mild web browsing, with occasional hikes to 12W during Youtube playback. Easily lasts more than 5 hours, and PassMark BatteryMon actually estimates 12-15 hours of total time!!

2) Powerful performance (Time Spy scores: 8125 GPU, 8912 CPU on performance); Was getting 70-90 FPS on Horizon Zero Dawn with all settings at max in native 1080p resolution.

The Lenovo legion slim 7 is a great product. It has a nice/responding keyboard and an efficient layout. The fingerprint reader is also a nice touch. One minor issue I have with this laptop is it's battery life

The port selection is also limited, however, I appreciate the fact Lenovo shipped this computer with an additional USB C adapter

Got it too, as a result of getting sick of waiting for the Legion 7 with 3070 to be available in my country. The more i use it, the more I'm feeling is a really good value for the money. Got it on discount for around 1500 euro, which is a very good deal considering the laptop prices in my country now. Even more so: The European version comes with faster RAM contrary to the the slower ones, which are used in the US versions of the Advantage Edition and the Lenovo 5 Pro

Ended up getting the rog strix g15 advantage edition. Couldn’t pass up on this value.

 Fans showed 50dB on an android sound meter app. The battery is on the small side, so I only saw about 3.5 hours of charge on battery saver and lower brightness / turning off keyboard backlight. This laptop has an 85W 3070 that performs similar if not worse than a high power 3060. The spec sheet for this model states that it has a 130W max 3070. I spoke with MSI support and the going theory is that there's a typo on the spec sheet. I will be returning this and replacing with a laptop with a higher performing 3070

 Still, I got a cinebench r23 score of 10955. Not nearly as good as the 11800h in the mp66 version of this laptop. One dude on reddit received a score of 14603 with a 4.4ghz all core overclock, so that's a testament on how powerful the 11800h is

Faulty cooling system that require a copper shim

Puchased this laptop because the GPU market is ridiculous, and it's impossible to get a graphics card for under $1000. Was surprised to find a laptop with a RTX 3070 for under $1500, until I realized it was an 85w card. Still, for less than $1500, you get a decent laptop, with mobile RTX 3060 performance. Only been using it for a couple days, but I'm happy with it so far, just don't spend more than $1500 on it!

If you're reading this you may have read independent reviews on another site. Some complain about the weight, build quality, I even found one complaining about how thick it is..

  Yes it gets hot, but mine has yet to approach thermal throttle territory, and yes it has some weight, and yes it's thick compared to almost all nongaming laptops and a little thicker than some other gaming laptops. Admittedly this is my first msi laptop, but the build quality feels good to me in comparison to the Alienware, Lenovo, and Asus laptops I've owned, it's also thinner and lighter than all of the ones I've owned, especially the Alienwares.  One downside is the battery, plan on having this thing on an outlet if you're going to use it for more than an 1 or 2 hours gaming, 3-4 hours just running with word and a browser. This is the biggest drawback I could find, which doesn't bother me much since outlets are easy to come by this day and age

 But my external SSD works fine to solve this, and while I haven't taken it apart I read there is either a second m.2 or a 2.5 inch bay - note that's just what I've read, I have not personally confirmed this. All in all the limited storage may affect some, but it's easily remedied using an external drive, thumb drive, and possibly internal expansion (again, I haven't confirmed this yet)  It's a settings game to achieve 144fps, same can be said for getting 240 on a desktop pc, but it's so far been doable at decent graphics in most games I've played on it

 When comparing to other laptops I've owned its dismal, even my 2070 watt laptop got 6 hours when new, 3-4 hours when gaming. I figure this may be a side effect of people wanting to make smaller thinner laptops..
