  I'll probably forget to update this review down the line if my feelings change, but if it's anything like the last laptop I had, I'll probably bump it up a star or two based on longevity.

 The cool thing about it is that it charges very quickly.  Wifi works fine and it comes with a ethernet cord slot when you need it. Video quality is good and refresh rate is adequate.  Form Factor is strange as the GTX 1660ti pushes past the hinge of the screen, so you have the fans and video components jut out about an inch from where the base of the screen rests

Nice Entry-level Gaming Laptop with "meh" Battery Life and Annoying Lenovo Bloatware Installed

 The right USB does this less so I use that one. I haven't done any heavy gaming yet so I can't attest to its performance there yet, but so far the airflow during heavy usage seems good and the keyboard is very decent. Also, the webcam has a built-in manual slider to block/unblock it which was a cool bonus.

This is my 3rd Legion 5 laptop. I got the 1st one from Walmart with the following specs: 4600H Ryzen 5, 120HZ 250 nits screen, 256 GB SSD + 1TB HDD, and only a GTX 1650ti. My 2nd was the same but a slightly cheaper price when it was on sale from Lenovo which featured the same screen, GTX 1650, and 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD . I decided to get this from Amazon since it has a GTX 1660ti and a better screen with 144hz and 300 nits brightness

  As from my screenshots, the Lenovo Vantage software is a simple software to tweak your laptop and it features overclocking your GPU, only when performance mode is enabled. You can also choose to overdrive the screen response time which videos from Jarrod's tech shows the difference and I would recommend turning this feature on.  The screen also has a yellowish tint to it when white is displayed on the screen, a slight annoyance that I manage to fix within the Radeon settings with the color settings. The screen is sorta usable outdoors

The best business laptop we've tested is the LG gram 17 (2021), a well-built ultraportable laptop with long battery life. Its 17-inch screen is great for split-screen multitasking, and due to its larger size, there's enough room on the keyboard deck to include a Numpad, which is handy for those working with lots of numbers. The keyboard feels great to type on for extended periods, the touchpad is large and responsive, and there are many ports for wired peripherals and external displays. A macOS alternative would be the Apple MacBook Air 13 (2022). This thin and light laptop has plenty of power to handle photo editing; the downside is a smaller 13-inch display. Also, it only has two USB-C ports, meaning you'll likely need a dock if you want to plug in multiple peripherals. Its M2 SoC is plenty fast, and the battery lasts around 10 to 11 hours of light use. If you want to save even more money, the older Apple MacBook Air 13 (M1, 2020) is still available. At its regular price, it's cheaper than the M2 MacBook Air, and it's often on sale, so you'll likely see it deeply discounted for Black Friday. Its M1 SoC isn't as fast, but still more than capable of handling most photo editing tasks.

 the Lg Gram 16, which is officially the world's lightest 16-inch laptop, which is impressive, although there aren't that many 16-inch laptops on the market. The only other one I can think of really is the Macbook Pro 16, which weighs 2 kilograms. This weighs about the same as a Dell Xps 13 at just 1.19 kilograms

 You are of course going to get much better performance from something like this, although of course you are compromising on it being thicker and heavier. But really, unless you're regularly using demanding apps, the power on offer here with Intel's 11th Gen chips will be more than enough for editing in lightroom, watching Netflix while you're procrastinating on my essay, or even putting together a friend's lockdown birthday video montage in Premiere Pro. It's nothing like as rich or full as you get on, say, the Macbook Pro or even a Dell Xps. Speech and effects are clear enough, and it gets reasonably loud and noise levels, although it does still depend on the laptop, but there's just not much bass to round things out

 Although of course that would compromise battery life and maybe maybe a more aggressive price. These are very expensive as I say at about 1500 pounds or 1700, so you are definitely paying a premium for this ultra lightweight design. That said, I have seen the 16 listed for as low as 1250 pounds already with a lower spec and this actually looks like even better value as you're still getting all the main gram benefits. But what do you reckon? would you go for the 14? Which I don't have, the 16 or the 17 or none of the above? let me know in the comments below

4.7 pounds is pretty normal for gaming and workstation laptops at 15 - 17 inches.  I think a large M1 laptop at half that weight would be very nice, see the LG Gram 17 for instance.

I agree, I had a max spec 2008 15” MBP and at 5.5 pounds it was heavy. My 4 pound 2016 15” MBP was noticeably lighter and I’m not interested in going back to 5+ pounds so I’m getting a 14” M1 Max model.

I remember when Apple released the Macbook Air in 2008. The most spec-obsessed techies criticized Jobs for removing the optical drive, saying it was too impractical for &quot;serious work&quot;. (Back then, Jobs was non-stop criticized after every product release, which makes the &quot;This wouldn&#39;t have happened under Saint Jobs!&quot; stuff very funny.) But it was hard to appreciate the value of an ultralight ultrathin computer until you used one. Weight doesn&#39;t wow you on a spec sheet, but it turns out to be one of the most important features.

Let me be clear: It&#39;s not bad that the new MBPs exist for pros. For the few that need it, desktop level performance in that form factor is mindblowing. But I suspect there are diminishing practical returns on all this power. This isn&#39;t a smartphone, so I&#39;m also skeptical as to how useful this super long battery is. For most of us, this seems like a bad trade off. 

The weight is maybe a tolerable sacrifice for the macbook pros, because these are pro machines for pro use cases. For the rest of us? I hope Apple keeps making the Macbook Air thinner and lighter (so long as it doesn&#39;t compromise durability).

TLDR; Apple has been making all their products heavier lately, which is fine, but it seems like the wrong move when it comes to their laptops. Interested in what others think?
