Lenovo Legion 5 pro RTX 3070: $1959, Needs new RAM for best performance. With a 32GB RAM it costs ~$2130.

My personal list of best gaming laptops in various categories. Hopefully it’s helpful for those looking for a new laptop this year.

The L5P has already reduced in price in less than a week imagine where it will be after a month or two. Also availability will definitely improve as lenovo hopes to sell as much units as possible especially in the us & other american/european countries to equal the hype that has surrounded their gaming laptop line for 2021.

WHY YOU SHOULDN'T PURCHASE THE LEGION 5 PRO (L5P) NOW

 Its not functional. There are tons of dead spots on it plus it ghost registers 1 sometimes 2 finger inputs. I love this laptop but theres no permanent fix for the trackpad which makes the laptop underperform. Sadly im returning it this week

Run all games nicely on ultra settings. Fans keep relatively quiet to other gaming laptops. Decent thermals comparatively to other laptops.

 Sure the computer comes with the correct GPU and CPU. The description says it is at 3200mhz which it is actually at 2667mhz see screenshots. Not only that but I only got 32gbs of ram compared to the 64gbs I paid for. On top of that you remember the laptop saying 165hz refresh rate? That's actually an April Fools joke as well because both the windows setting and nvidia control panel both have it locked at 60hz and CANNOT be changed

I bought the 64gb ram with 2tb edition. Got the computer today and wanted to check to make sure I got everything I paid for. Sure the computer comes with the correct GPU and CPU. The description says it is at 3200mhz which it is actually at 2667mhz see screenshots

 Also, checked the computer for updates and to make sure everything was up to date. There is this odd issue where I cannot update the graphics card for some reason attached a screenshot, I keep getting this error.

 Oh maybe it only works in 1080p to change the refresh rate right? Check the screenshots I tried and it DID NOT change. Stayed stuck to 60hz.  Despite the SD slot been UHS 3, I was seeing lower writes than expected from my v9 t rated card for updated pricing check. The Razer Blade Pro 17 gaming laptop with these specs is going for around 2800 US dollars, while here in Australia we're looking at 4800 Australian dollars while not cheap. It'S worth remembering that in many cases we're getting 2080 max-q performance here due to the modifications Razer have put in place, so I'd be expecting even higher levels of performance with the 2080 model and, of course, then, and powerful always equals higher cost

When it comes to laptops, so to conclude, the new Razer Blade, / 17 laptop, is offering some nice performance for the specs that it's got inside. This is a result of increased power limits, something you can do when you've got decent cooling and the four fans seem to be doing a fair job here, considering the higher power limits which result in more heat, the stock out of the box under volt on the Cpu further helps here and is something I hope we see more of in the future as usual, Razer offering a solid black metal chassis, which feels incredibly well built while the keyboard looks nice

 Absolutely no problems at all, opening it up with one finger. However, it's still very impressive that it was able to beat the associate 701 as that was tested with g-sync, which gives it an edge in performance and not to mention its higher tier 20 80 max gear. These are the results from shadow of the Tomb Raider with the built-in benchmark at highest settings and in this test, average framerate puts the blade per 17 in at third place, only just slightly behind the 20 80 max key variants of the gs-7 5 and GX 701. But was still ahead of the razor blade 15 with 20 80 max gear and out 20 70 laptops honestly impressive stuff from a 20 70 max q machine to be fair, the other machines could also be overclocked and under vaulted, but razor is doing this out of The box, which will be beneficial for the majority of people that aren't going to tweak those settings now for the benchmarking tools, I've tested, Heaven Valley and super position from Unigine, as well as fire strike times by portroyal and VR mark from 3d mark just pause

amazing laptop super fast speed!!! amazing beautiful graphics. Ended up getting 300 HZ FHD 2080 Super i7 10th gen (8 Cores)  im able to max out everything and get good frames per second!!! it runs super cool doesnt even get that hot i can also game using the speakers as they get loud and can fill up the room very easily. this is a huge laptop which would replace my desktop as it is always stationed and constantly moving around i dont have space to station a desktop and i can bring this laptop with me everywhere i go from the bedroom to the living room and take it with me on the go.  this laptop is very nicely build with aluminium metal and is beautiful

 And given this razor laptop basically sits in the RT X 28 Emacs Q performance category or better where most equivalent offerings are at least 2500 US dollars I Think the blade probe puts up a strong showing. given its design, performance, and feature set, it will come down to what you want. and yes, it is still expensive. but I Don't think it's anywhere near as outrageous as previous rows of laptops that I've slammed for poor value

 Plus, it ran hot and loud and on top of all of that, it was really expensive, which just made it difficult to recommend. But it's 2019 now and with new components from both Intel and NVIDIA I thought it was time to see if a new Razer design could improve upon the flaws of the previous generation. Now, I'm not looking at the direct successor to the Razer Blade. Instead, I've stepped up a size bracket and today's review is focused on the new Razer Blade Pro 17 with Intel Knights Gen, CPUs and RT X graphics

 There's kind of two perspectives here as far as well-built slim and light gaming notebooks go. I Actually, don't think the Razer Blade Pro 17 is ridiculously expensive at twenty eight hundred dollars for the model I reviewed, it's only $100 more than the similar Msi Gs70 five stealth with the R-tx twenty eighty max q While we are comparing R-tx between 70 max QR Text 20, 80 max Q I've tested both laptops and the blade is 7% faster despite having the lower GPU which is enough to justify the higher price tag. And given this razor laptop basically sits in the RT X 28 Emacs Q performance category or better where most equivalent offerings are at least 2500 US dollars I Think the blade probe puts up a strong showing. given its design, performance, and feature set, it will come down to what you want

Razer Blade Pro 17 Review, Razer FINALLY Delivers "Decent" Value

This is for the 2020 8-core/4K 120Hz model, which ships with the 2080 Super Max-Q, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD.  Pros: - Very nice screen, with excellent uniformity and color. 120Hz may be their lowest refresh-rate option, but it's still much nicer than 60Hz, and the 4k resolution is great for work and productivity. - Excellent touchpad and good keyboard feel, though the keyboard key depth is a bit shallow

 Both games were a smooth experience, and it’s hard not to be immersed when playing them on such a large screen. Gentler titles easily surpassed 100fps on their maximum settings. The Blade Pro 17 averaged 129fps on Overwatch, 139fps on Fortnite, 168fps on Apex Legends, and 231fps on CS:GO.
