 Now Lenovo's Legion Gaming line is where you'll find all of the highest performance components and best features, but they can also top three thousand dollars with the Ideapad Gaming 3. The starting prices are more reasonable at below a thousand dollars. Past versions of this laptop line looked sort of generic gaming laptop, but you could get good components inside for the money. The display, the design, and the extra features are where things typically get knocked down to save costs, but Lenovo keeps a lot intact here

 With battery life on the amazon page and on behalf of lenovo representatives it should last 6-8 hours.. and well mine just lasted 2 hours using 3 chrome tabs, no keyboard lights.

Things to know..

 With the same hardware., I’ve also tested SPECviewperf, which tests out various professional 3D workloads. I’ve used Crystal disk mark to test the 256gb NVMe M.2 SSD

. Davinci Resolve is more GPU heavy, but, despite the apparent benefit of the Ti being a higher spec it’s scoring the same as the lower Nitro 5, and only just 5 points behind the TUF. With the same hardware., I’ve also tested SPECviewperf, which tests out various professional 3D workloads

 The right just has a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port and air exhaust vent, so no cables getting in the way. If you’re a right handed mouse user. This tends to be more of a CPU focussed test, but it’s now a fair bit behind the TUF A15 with same specs, while the Nitro is even higher

 For updated prices check the links in the description, as prices will change over time. At the time of recording in the US, it’s actually sold out too much demand for Ryzen. I guess. Here in Australia we’re looking at $ 1400 AUD, though I picked mine up on sale for under $ 1150 AUD, which, without our taxes, is around $ 750 USD for my international friends

It's a good size, not too heavy, and doesn't get too hot with my cooling pad. It does get hot on its own, but not so hot that I worry about plastic melting. The only complaint I have is that the track pad sits on the left side just enough for me to bump it with my hand when I am typing which can be annoying. Other than that, I really like it and I would recommend it

I bought this with the intention of using it for gaming, not hardcore mmo just like the Sims 4 and House Flipper level games. This is a great laptop for my purposes, and it's at a decent price. I did a lot of research before deciding on this laptop, but price was the ultimate factor between this and the other budget laptops I was looking at.

The Enter key is SO soft and mushy and I've noticed many of the keys, like the pair of Space bars, are also soft and don't register contact multiple times. VERY frustrating as I can type around 50 wpm and I'm having to Backspace WAY too much! GRR!. I want to send this POS back and try another brand, but I've found no other alternatives in my searches.

 It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students. Having 2 classes in row will mean you're looking to sit near a plug in class to keep it charged. You can dim the screen down but that's not always possible when you're in a bright classroom

 My old model, with a card slot, I routinely swapped out cards depending on my usage. I was hoping the battery life was some improved. It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students

Good but with some disappointments.

We did not open the shrink wrap as there was no indication of a keyboard. Be aware of false depictions of keyboard included even in the video. Otherwise, the product should be ok if you want a tablet, not a PC.
