Sound Quality

Korg Volca Drum
Mostly love (with a little hate)
I really like drum machines - can't get enough of 'em. The Volca Drum Digital Percussion Synthesizer is fantastic fun, and very flexible - this is one powerful unit. Ultimately, most of my gripes are with Korg's design decisions with the Volca line itself. What's to love: -The sound. Irregardless of...

Connectivity

Korg Volca Drum
Great price point and functionality at the cost of compatibility (Beatstep users, take warning)
I want to start off by saying that most of my negative points are not meant to discourage new users. This is absolutely the best polyphonic synth for its price point without a doubt. If you're new and want to try your hand at analogue synthesis, this device has too much capability for too little mon...

Bass

Korg Volca Drum
PO for a 80s EBM sounding minimal setup with NTS-1
Go with the volca Bass and Volca Drum. Basically I want to ape on Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb as well. The sound engines on those will get you where you want to go real quick, and the sequencers and general interface are way easier to navigate.

NAD C 658 Review
Currently, NAD offers an HDMI 4K module, the MDC HDM-2, at a price of 329 Euro. It also fits into the first devices ever equipped with this technology, the NAD models T165, T765, T775 and T785, all of them AV processors and receivers. It would be more than unfair to put the NAD in direct comparison with the highest-priced competitors, but it is still absolutely remarkable how much audiophile spirit NAD has managed to pour into the C 658

Price Point

Korg Volca Drum
Solid modular synth. Crazy space sounds. Trippy trippy.
Great bang for your buck, I think this synth serves as a good intro to modular synthesis without breaking the bank. Fat fat crazy experimental space sounds. Sick. Great videos on patches and so far it seems like there are A TON of different patches. I’m going to pair this with an Arturia Keystep and...
