Your choice of sub is no good - go SVS, and your center speaker doesn't match your front LR. Change it to a Q650c. I also echo the sentiments of the others in this thread - downgrade your atmos speakers and your surrounds and reinvest that money in a better sub and a better center. Also you haven't mentioned what AVR you want to use to power your theater?

After years of lurking I'm picking out the speakers for a home theater install in our remodeled basement. The room is roughly 22'x16', with the screen on the 16' side. MLP is roughly 11' from the screen. Here are my picks so far:

Speaker choices for 7.1.2 Atmos home theater

 Sound is in sync with lips. Everything comes alive with no harsh horn tweeter high ends like the klipsch. I can’t wait purchase the new 450 bookshelves to finish my Surround setup!  Only downside is no speaker grill! At $650 a grill should be included not a $30 add in. They do look pretty good without the grill though

 So here is the center speaker from Kev. So this is the product unboxed guys. This is real life. We're doing a real theater install and that's why it's important that you purchase from somebody that does have good customer service

1 surround system and we're also going to be doing a Sony 295 and an SI 120 inch 1.2 game. Klipsch R-52C Powerful detailed Center Channel Home Speaker - Black.

The towers are also toed-in enough to not completely blast whomever is sitting there. So far I am happy with everything. The speakers sound great, the subs rumble well, just trying to figure out all the settings (why does 'Pure Direct' disable subs!?)

The toe-in on those L&R is too much considering the wide variety of seating angles in that room.... even for the person that sits dead center, it's too much. I'd try adjusting that a bit.

My new 5.2.2 basement setup:

This was a great replacement to my Klipsch satellite speaker from my 2.1THX system for my computer. I was using that satellite speaker for about 3 years as my center channel. It worked ok while it was there but then came this

 This has brought things together for me and I thought I would have to go all kliipsch to do so. No I am doing fine with Bose 4001 direct reflect and this one. It is a match made in heaven. The Bose have enough bass to cover not having a sub

Money well spent

I tried differemt center channel speakers in the past to balance out the sound quality of my center channel, and until now found each effort lacking - mostly in their ability to reproduce the human voice. The voice sounded either muffled and boxy or mechanical and unnaturally over-amplified and at the limit of each speaker's range.  I am using Klipsch speakers all around in my 7.1 sysrem, including two height Klipsch speakers for Atmos

 The sound is crisp, clear, snappy, natural and full, but like so many other center channels, can't handle women's voices well. I do recommend the R52c, though, but with this one caveat.  I ended up going back to my R34c, since it seemed to do a little better.

  With two respectable 5.2" mid and a 1" tweeter, I figured this combination had the depth and high frequency range to naturally balance the full range I was looking for. Eureka, almost. The R52c has proven to be the nice addition to my home theater audio needs

 I used it as a center speaker in my entertainment & music. Unable to do the testing on my older HDMI TV. On music, the clarity of lyrics & instruments are clearer. I setup the system that the center speaker is 2 notches higher or louder than the front Polk speakers
