Husband’s first home theater!

As it is now, the rear row probably won’t be able to hear as well. - As a future upgrade, consider a 3-way center such as the Emotiva C1+ or C2+ or the Infinity RC263 if they ever sell it again. - As a future upgrade, consider one or two more capable subwoofers from Rythmik, Hsu, or SVS. The center and subwoofers really make a huge difference in both the intelligibility of dialog (the center) and the ability to both feel and hear the LFE track (the subwoofer).

Nice looking speaker and decent low volume sound

Looks super nice and seems well built. As a center channel it's pretty good, but gets a bit muddy with high volume. I bought 3 and tried LCR setup and they just don't put out any low end whatsoever. No problems. Bass sounds amazing even on my Onkyo TX SR-343. I will be updating to an Onkyo RZ50 soon with an Emotiva C1 and T1 fronts with NEUMI BS5 surrounds. I can't praise SVS's customer service enough.

Great center channel or all-around speaker

Excellent projection of mid-range. Great at producing voice/dialogue. Sealed box allows for easy placement near wall and is quite small compared to many speakers that produce this quality of sound. loving this technics sl1500 c!

I’ve had my sl1500c for about a week now and I’m really loving the sound coming out of my emotiva airmotiv b1+ speakers. I’m using the built in pre-amp with the supplied ortofon 2m red which again sounds fantastic.

Quest is finally over

I have been on the hunt for a good center speaker. Many are too “bright” or muddy until you pass the $700 range. After battling with myself over a martinlogan centerchannel, i decided to look fir others with folded ribbon technology and found these.

Polk T series to Emotiva, whoa...

The truth is the Polk T/M/R lines are door buster sales junk.

The Emotiva are some of the best values in speakers that you'll find. I use the B1s on my desk and they are fantastic.

Music to your Ears!

Great Sounding Speaker! I have it matched up to my Emotiva T1 Towers and imo it doesn't get much better than this! These speakers are very neutral sounding, not to bright or dull. If your used to Klipsch in your face highs these speakers are not for you and I do have a full RF-82 ii set up up front....

I would also strongly recommend a centre channel upgrade to match, the Emotiva C1+ will come back in stock eventually.

What speaker set would you recommend for this room given my preferences?

(like the Monoprice I linked, or the Emotiva C1+. 4. Proper setup. Big fan of the receiver models with Dirac Live, because you can buy a UMIK-1 for $80, and get a really good calibration without much work.
