Bought my roomba 614 back in 15' and it stills runs great to this day. Haven't purchased any newer models but those prices do look good.

I've been thinking about a Roomba for a while now. Is this a good chance? I like the appeal of the mopping ones since I have hard floors. Would love any input on these models, thank you!

 I was quite impressed to see how well it target the high traffic zones in-house and clean them instantly with advanced Dirt Direct system. When I used this smart vacuum cleaner in rooms its performance was pretty satisfying as it made all the floors clean even at unreachable corners and around the furniture. Now, the next target was stairs. Before putting it in operational mode on stairs, I made some arrangements to protect it if it falls down because I was expecting that

 But as soon as it started working on stairs, its Cliff Detect sensors got activated instantly and it started working like a human. For the price I paid, I'm not thrilled whatsoever with this robot. I've had a cheaper brand in the past (cost half the price) and it was more efficient. And came with a remote. This one is incredibly loud, doesn't fit under my coffee table, skips rooms completely, gets jammed under my bed and have to chase it throughout the house to turn the loud thing off

If you're looking for a high-end robot vacuum that can also handle dried-on stains, the Roborock S7 is worth a look. This robot vacuum has a much harder time dealing with pet hair on carpeted surfaces than the iRobot Roomba S9. However, it does have a dedicated ultrasonic mopping capability that results in impressive stain-cleaning performance. Its surface detection system also enables it to raise its mopping pad if it's on carpet. It also features a LIDAR mapping system as opposed to the iRobot's optical sensor, allowing it to navigate in complete darkness. You can also use its companion app to direct it to clean a specific area or room, schedule cleaning sessions in advance, or set up no-go zones the vacuum won't enter. Performance on bare floors is superb, and the vacuum does a decent job of clearing away solid debris on carpets. Unfortunately, while it does have a HEPA filter, some fine particles can still escape from its exhaust.

Get the iRobot if you want a vacuum that does a better job of collecting pet hair and has superior air filtration performance, but consider the Roborock if a built-in mopping feature and more advanced mapping system are bigger draws for you.

Although we don't currently test a vacuum's ability to clean liquid, their vacuums still offer exceptional performance in picking up dry debris on bare floors. They also tend to be very well-built and have great maneuverability to clean under tables and chairs. Unfortunately, like many other robot vacuum brands, their products have demanding maintenance needs, and many parts need replacing over time.

The best Roborock vacuum we've tested is the Roborock S7. This high-end robot vacuum delivers fantastic performance on flat, even surfaces like hardwood or linoleum. Its headlining feature is its ultrasonic mopping capability, which uses vibrating mop pads to scrub away any dried-on dirt or debris. Its surface detection system also lets it lift these mopping pads when it maneuvers onto carpeted floors. Its LIDAR sensor array generates a clear map of its coverage area, letting you set up virtual boundary lines or schedule cleaning sessions for individual rooms within your home.  Roborock recommends cleaning this every two weeks, so that's something I'll look to do more often. The sensors need to be wiped clean after approximately 30 hours use or monthly, and the app will prompt you to do that. So far, I've had to do that twice. The dustbin filter needs to be cleaned every two weeks as well

 The mopping function is pretty good for what it does. It'll take away fresh stains off my tiles and even some dried on stains. It doesn't replace a traditional manual mop, but I don't think it's designed to do so either. The app is really intuitive to use and has plenty of functionality for power users, and the robot itself has been very low maintenance for me

 So with all that said, what do I think about the Robo Rock S7? Well, it's fantastic As an everyday vacuum, the ability to set a schedule and have the robot automatically clean your floors is incredible. Our floors here have never looked so consistently clean. It won't completely replace a conventional vacuum as it can't get to tight areas of your home and it can't get over higher bumps. but I think those downsides are inherent to any robot vacuum you might use

We’ve had the Roborock S7 for 7 weeks on our main floor which is all hardwood and a few area rugs. I’m currently trial running several auto-empty vacs for our upstairs which has our 4 bedrooms and all carpet. Currently a few weeks into the Roomba S9+ with empty bin and let me just say… while it does a good job picking up on our low rise carpet, the app and technology feels about 5 years behind the Roborock tech and app. If anyone cares about specifics feel free to ask but I’m constantly surprised how poor the app and tech work

 But no, it did get some hair clogged when I tried to empty it in that test, but it did just fine after that big test and was able to consistently clean normal amounts of hair. Basically, if you have pets that shed, you will probably need to run it at least once or twice a week in order to make sure it empties the bin without clogs. maybe even more if you have a lot of big pets. But as I said, I've yet to find an auto empty robot vacuum that doesn't have this specific limitation

 and because I have two cats, a lot of cat hair can build up in two weeks. I was hoping that the S7 could auto empty even that much hair after that much time. But no, it did get some hair clogged when I tried to empty it in that test, but it did just fine after that big test and was able to consistently clean normal amounts of hair. I have had several Roomba vacuums. Most recently the i7, which worked well for a long time, then lost its mind. I have tried everything. iRobot customer service is a joke. 

So I finally give up and am going to try another robotic vacuum.  Peace out, iRobot; I will never buy another one of your products.

I’m outta here - buying a Shark IQ Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Base and Smart Mapping

I tried the roborock s7 and between it not being able to back of its own dock, being obsessed with ramming into its own dock, getting stuck anytime it hit anything, not picking my anything off the carpet, it had air vents on the side (which I wasn’t used to coming from roomba) that sounds like a jet engine no matter what the speed setting was. I was already annoyed and the sound of a mini jet engine going through the house sent me over the edge in frustration! Am I to expect the same thing from the Deebot t8?

 Waiting for this thing to break down which probably won’t be a long time from now so I can purchase a upgraded eufy. Roborock suction isint that great either. I recently ordered a replacement battery for my eufy because the Roborock wasn’t doing a good job and put them to work at the same time for the same amount of time and looked at which one collected more dirt and take a wild guess which one did it better. Yep the less then $200 4 year old eufy
