Fender Strat Plus the predecessor to American Deluxe and Elite series that happens to be my favorite Strat model and era cause it fixed almost all the issues I have with regular Strats, starting with noiseless Lace sensors. Need something with Single coils and this fits the bill.

The price point is remarkable when you look at the craftsmanship of these basses, you really get more than you paid for so to speak.

I think the Fusion series from HB is just a really really good deal. I own a Ibanez AZ Prestige (2k€) and the Fusion for around 400€ approximates the feel and sound of it pretty well. Of course there's a difference, but for someone who can't afford the 2000€ version, the HB will do just as well. Additionally: Thomann have one of the best customer services I've ever had to deal with

Or at least no longer a great deal. 4-5 years ago back when they were US$275 new they were steals, but now that they're $430 plus tax and shipping, they're no longer this amazing moneyball solution, they're at best a decent bass at a fair price. In my opinion if you've got $500 to spend on a bass I'd get a used Mexican Fender or Ibanez SR500, that's where the real value is at that price point.
