The purpose of our special thermometer is to indicate several valuable info for the E61 HX or SBDU coffee machine user,like the group head idle temperature and the water temperature just near the coffee puck,before the start,during and after the brewing process.The installation process of the sensor does not need special tools, conditions or high tech knowledge.We provide the full installation kit in the package.Before installation,make sure the E61 machine is turned off and cooled down.Remove the Allen head screw located just on front of the group head.Make sure the sensor has the copper washers (up to 3 pcs) on it and that the Teflon washer (the OEM one that was already inside) is into the group head. Make the blind basket test to make sure there are no water leaks.So, there is no need for Teflon tape, sealant of any kind, cutting or any sort of adaptations. I personally think the more expensive HX e61 machines are weird compromises, like who wants to pay nearly 3k to temperature surf? Don’t be fooled by the PID, a good group head thermometer will show you temperature swings from 212 to 180, and the correct cooling flush won’t be a consistent amount of time.

Me again… I’m upgrading my machine from the Rancilio Silvia. I’ve decided I want a rotary motor, don’t care too much about flow profiling as I don’t think I’ll realistically use it.  I want to consistently have good extractions and be able to steam milk at the same time (up to 4 lattes at once). 

What’s the consensus on heat exchanger vs true dual boiler?  Will I be able to extract and steam a bunch of drinks at once with HX? With a dual boiler I’m just thinking there’s room for more things to go wrong in terms of servicing and not sure if I’ll notice a difference in the extractions and steaming.

I’m debating between Rocket Mozzafiato chronometer, profitec pro 600 and if I’m spending this much already, maybe spend a little more for the Lelit Bianca. Any issues with durability/longevity/serviceability of these machines?

What do you value with your machine?

 It works great! And makes a difference without use of a PID. I also like the service provided by Coffee Sensor. They answer questions promptly, thoroughly, without condescention! They got package out fast from Europe by DHL. Would definitely buy from them again

I own a Rocket Appartamento. I had trouble with bitter shots and overheating. The first thermometer I tried was purchased from Svendson's, sold on Chris's Coffee. It was unnecessarily tedious with poor instructions and the first one didn't work

I picked up a used Nespresso mini essenza from Facebook market place for $65. I like it at that price, and the pods from Costco are reasonably priced.

Hey there! I’m a frequent coffee drinker but no way near to the degree of excellence I see in this sub. I use (forgive me) a Nespresso Essenza Mini alongside a Nespesso Aerocinno 3 Milk Frother.

I’d love to upgrade to something else in this price range, the machine is okay, but I really need a decent milk frother or alternative so I can make coffee better! I’d really appreciate any suggestions or recommended products!

I grew up with very expensive espresso machines and have had a hard time finding one that makes as good tasting espresso. This is the closest that I have found to the quality that I am used to. I like the compact size for my apartment size kitchen as it doesn't take up too much counter space. I do wish that it looked a bit more sophisticated though…

 So i usually have this espresso shot in the morning and i'll add milk. So i'll have a nice cup of cappuccino in the morning and then in the afternoon i'll pull again a single shot and i'll make an iced latte the logo. You can also do it as an iced latte. You can also do it as a hot latte, but you will need to use a larger mug and double the milk overall

 So the box came with this machine and at the back, there's a water tank that you can just remove and then fill up the water and then attach back. So the only trick is that you need to place it like this with the lid open and then slot it and it will close. And then this is the arachino tree um, it's a milk frother, it frost, milk, cold or hot, by pressing on this button. If you simply press for one second, it will turn red and then you will froth the milk at a hot temperature

Love this espresso maker, it's a great brand and I love that it comes with the milk frothed! That makes my lattes taste really delicious and they're always fresh and hot! I love that it takes only a bit of counter space and it's very easy to use! I've enjoyed the sampler that came with the machine and how easy it is to operate! Really delicious lattes at home, I'm very pleased!

I've had this for several years and it still works great! My only complaint about nespresso machines is that they don't pull very hot shots. I feel like it's a great machine for a quick shot, but I would LOVE it would heat the water more.

Love my nespresso machine! Wish it were cheaper! The coffee cubs can definitely be on the bigger side!
