Best Espresso Machine of 2022 - GearLab
For many people who dream of making cafe-quality cappuccinos and lattes at home, milk steaming is what holds them back. While it's not a super complicated process, it can certainly be intimidating and requires time and patience to develop the skill. If you're already rushing a morning routine, the B...
New Apartment, New Coffee Station
First, we acquired a Breville Bambino Plus and a JavaPresse Manual Grinder. We used the pressurized spouted portafilter that came with the Breville, but the taste wasn't quite up to what I remembered having at the espresso bar.
Must Have but Beware!
Oh My Goodness (that needed to be spelled out)! My headline said "Must have but Beware " the issue is once you get this espresso machine and learn how to do it just right you will never be able to drink just coffee again. Plain coffee is just too nasty compared to the wonderful beverage that comes f...
Great machine for the price
Get yourself a good grinder and this machine will be just fine for a long time. I have a DF64 and don’t anticipate upgrading from the Bambino any time soon. It’s ready to go in literal SECONDS, which would be a big feature to lose upgrading to an expensive machine. The milk steaming feature is as go...
Hi all! I love making lattes at home but my 5 year old Mr. Coffee Espresso machine is not cutting it anymore. Does not make the espresso as rich or creamy as it should be so I feel I am wasting money on fine bean and roasts. Any suggestions for espresso machines under $300?
It will work much better than your Mr Coffee ever did. It comes with a pressurized filter basket so it will work with pre-ground, or coffee from most burr grinders. When you are ready to take your espresso to the next level, you can upgrade the filter basket to non-pressurized, and get a proper espresso grinder such as a Eureka Mignon Notte. At that point you will be able to make espresso that tastes as good as you can get at your local cafe.

Fast startup, ease of use and small footprint
The media could not be loaded. Update: I cannot upload more than 1 video. So I deleted the original and uploaded a newer one. No bear hugging. Since my portafilter is modified, you can see the flow. Update after 3 months of usage: I feel I should clear up some misinformation given on some of the rev...
Follow the app instructions and be willing to make mistakes
I was hesitant to buy this product after reading reviews here, but I’m very happy with it! I’ve been using it for about two months now and it’s taken some experimenting but I haven’t had one truly bad espresso from this machine. Definitely follow the instructions from the app provided in set up, the...
