While the Razer was a definite underperformer, I also would have expected the Omen to finish a little further ahead of the MSI and its older (and lower-clocked) 8th Generation Core i7 chip. The Acer and Digital Storm did better with the same CPU as the Omen.

 It's a recipe for the smoothest gaming experience in town, especially in our review guise with an 8GB RTX 2070 and a six-core Intel Core i7 processor. The Omen's sturdy construction, dedicated gaming macro keys, and Thunderbolt 3 port help set it apart, though its cooling fans are loud and it stumbles by not offering a high-end configuration with customizable per-key backlighting. Its reasonable pricing helps take the sting out of those downsides, positioning the Omen 17 as a good buy among big-screened gaming rigs.

3-inch gamer we've tested, the MSI GS75 Stealth. Then again, the extra weight might not be all that bad with the right backpack. However, our next test, Unigine Superposition, doesn't rely on the processor as much and the HP had no problem catching up. This benchmark uses a different rendering engine for a second opinion on a PC's graphics performance.

Lenovo Legion 5 pro RTX 3070: $1959, Needs new RAM for best performance. With a 32GB RAM it costs ~$2130.

My personal list of best gaming laptops in various categories. Hopefully it’s helpful for those looking for a new laptop this year.

The L5P has already reduced in price in less than a week imagine where it will be after a month or two. Also availability will definitely improve as lenovo hopes to sell as much units as possible especially in the us & other american/european countries to equal the hype that has surrounded their gaming laptop line for 2021.

WHY YOU SHOULDN'T PURCHASE THE LEGION 5 PRO (L5P) NOW

 Its not functional. There are tons of dead spots on it plus it ghost registers 1 sometimes 2 finger inputs. I love this laptop but theres no permanent fix for the trackpad which makes the laptop underperform. Sadly im returning it this week

Run all games nicely on ultra settings. Fans keep relatively quiet to other gaming laptops. Decent thermals comparatively to other laptops.

 Sure the computer comes with the correct GPU and CPU. The description says it is at 3200mhz which it is actually at 2667mhz see screenshots. Not only that but I only got 32gbs of ram compared to the 64gbs I paid for. On top of that you remember the laptop saying 165hz refresh rate? That's actually an April Fools joke as well because both the windows setting and nvidia control panel both have it locked at 60hz and CANNOT be changed
