Brazilian Hammock Review - Hammock Sky

 I don't know if I'd share this for more than a quick nap with another person as it's large relative to other Brazilian Hammocks; but hammock sleeping for 8 hours with another occupant would just not be practical in the long term. That being said, you want a large hammock for stretching out at an angle, sleeping on your side and just general comfort. You will lay flat when shifting to the correct 20 degree offset from the center line while sleeping in this hammock. (google sleeping in a Brazilian Hammock if you aren't familiar with the method) You can also comfortably sleep on your side in this

Warbonnet Eldorado would be your best bet for light weight and longer size. It's basically the Blackbird XLC without the storage compartment.

I bought an ENO Doublenest, ENO Bugnet, and ENO Atlas Straps years back for lounging while car camping. I then started to backpack and added a Hennessy Hex Rainfly and a Wilderness Logics UQ. The plan was to upgrade the hammock and suspension back then, but my wife and child started backpacking with me, (a good thing), using a tent, (not comfortable for me).  I've been using my old hammock set up as of late and over the past three days I hiked the AT from Damascus, VA to Grayson Highlands. The wife and kid will remain in the tent and I'll hang from now on as they have become comfortable in the tent with me hanging next to them.  I hesitate to post another cliche ENO post, but I need a bit of assistance after watching Shug's vids and reading this and other forums.

Current set up:

Hammock: ENO Doublenest

Suspension: ENO Atlas Straps

Bugnet: ENO Guardian Bugnet

Tarp: Hennessy Hex 70D Rainfly

Bottom Insulation: Wilderness Logics full length  850GD UQ

Top Insulation: Big Agnes Boot Jack 25\* sleeping bag

Misc: Paracord for ridgeline, MSR Groundhog stakes for rainfly

I know the ENO gear must all be replaced with an 11' hammock and put in the car camping bin. I need a top quilt for sure. I love the underquilt and feel like it's one of the only items that doesn't need an upgrade. Do I need to replace the Rainfly? It kept me dry through a tropical system, but will it cover a longer hammock sufficiently? 

I'm 6' 1" and 200 lbs.   

My priorities -Lightweight. Quick set up and take down.

Fresh off of a 31 mile AT section hike. Time to upgrade and in need of suggestions.

 I think as far as like this Wookie undercoat, I think it's revolutionary. It's it's just a brilliant concept. So um yeah, that's why I went with the Uh Warbonnet, El Dorado, and Wookie Underquote and I will be using it on some outings coming up anyway. Um, I'm getting a little chilled

 Right now, I'll use my over quote which I didn't bring because I just wanted to show the uh under quote so I don't have any intentions of not using tarps and tents anymore. I just like having the options and the availability of using a hammock when and when I want to. I do sleep better in hammocks. I always knew that, but I was

 It's specially actually designed for the Blackbird, Xlt, Blackbird, or the Eldorado, and it fits at the angle in which you lay in the hammock. You don't lay like a banana straight, you lay diagonally, you get a flatter lay. It's quite amazing. and this quilt is designed to actually lay in that direction

 They make it in a 20, 30, 0 and another Scandinavian fill which is extremely overstuffed with down, which I don't really need here in New England. But anyway, on the head end of the of the hammock, here, the connection with the quilt. There's no fiddle factor at all. There's two connections on the head end here and the foot end
