  Much more recently, I’ve had a Gold2 and a Statement Platinum2, both mounted on my MoFi Ultradeck. Both tracked well (confirmed with a test record). Both sounded really good running into my Sutherland Insight phono stage.  I’m a super heavy spinner so I decided to buy the Gold3 and return to a cartridge with a user replaceable stylus, which the Statement Platinum2 lacks

 It’s still running in and I’m shocked how amazing this is for $260. Rock, jazz, EDM, classical- it does it all brilliantly.  If you know and like the Grado sound, you’ll love this. If you don’t know the Grado sound, they sound more like real music than most cartridges I’ve heard

 It's very smooth and mellow in the high end and has a lovely overall tone. I'll probably be stuck on this cart for a good while.

 I prefer a warmer sound but wanted to keep the low surface noise and non-existant IGD from the AT cart, so I landed on the Olympia. I haven't even broken it in more than 5 hours and it's a really, really enjoyable listen. It's very smooth and mellow in the high end and has a lovely overall tone. Very Enjoyable Cart

 The Olympia just doesn't have the same magic. The Olympia does have better high end extension and handles igd better than the pearl but short of that, to my ears the pearl is a much better sounding cart. It's definitely a much better bargain than the Olympia. The Olympia sounds like a better refined at95e, which isn't a bad thing but at 200 bucks I couldn't justify it

So I have ran the sumiko pearl forever and love the warmth and separation the pearl gives. The way the pearl just glides through surface noise with ease. The Olympia just doesn't have the same magic.
