Nagaoka MP-110

These speakers were very difficult to find in the US as they were primarily marketed in Asia. The setup provides a very engaging sound that makes you tap your foot along to the music.

Turnatable is the well known AT-LP120X USB, using the phono preamp of the Yamaha amp. Cartridge is Nagaoka MP-110. Very dynamic speakers, powerful, very great for loud mixed music. Even for jazz they sounds good, but they really reveals their potential with dynamic music.

After the Shure M97xe was discontinued, I switched to the Nagaoka MP-110. I had this cart for a good 3+ years. I know exactly how to align the cart with protractor. It was set up properly, including the most accurate tracking force. Did this cart serve its purpose? Yes. But, would I buy it again? No...

I’ve been messing around with a variety of cartridges and styli over the past year (Ortofon Red/Silver/Blue, Nagaoka MP-110, Grado Black, and Audio Technica 95e). In my main setup i use a Technics 1700 mk II turntable, Yamaha CA-810 amp, Original Large Advent Speakers, and recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 58x Jubilee headphones. I have been quite satisfied with the Ortofon Blue in this setup.
