Glorious Model O vs Razer DeathAdder Elite

This is where my positivity ends. My issue with the MZ1 starts with the right side of the mouse. Unlike the generous comfort grooves on the left and front of the mouse, the right side is straight. This isn’t a problem in relaxed fingertip grip where your ring and pinky finger are either straight or in the areas where there are no mouse holes

I just have some weight and size problems with the current mouse, Razer Deathadder Elite. Someone says that if I am good at clicking, the kind of mice does not matter, but be honest.

+Middle click on the mouse-wheel works great without lurching the wheel around like other mice I've used recently -cough-EVGA-cough- Cons: -Sized awkwardly, the way the grip is designed it encourages your fingers toward the middle of the mouse instead of straight forward. Main clicking finger will wander to the side of the scroll wheel. -The back-button is placed exactly where I place my thumb for claw grip so it gets hit accidentally pretty regularly. -Texture on the side is a bit smooth, meaning you will need to grip tighter that you would expect

After only owning this mouse for four months, and having normal usage, the side grip for the mouse came off. The grip seems to be held on by a cheap glue which does not hold up well. After contacting them to RMA the mouse, they agreed to replace it. However, issues started occurring after they wanted me to return it via FedEx

**Shape/Coating:** The shape of this mouse is low at the front while relatively flat which then dips in the middle and has an extended lower back. The Model O is typically compared to the FK series of Zowie mice. The mouse shares a matte coating across the whole body ignoring side buttons and DPI switch which are both coated glossy

The side buttons are large which is a favorite for me; and the position of the side buttons is perfect. Right on the middle of the curve where the thumb rests, easy to press both front and back without moving your hand. The comfort curves in the left and right click are a funky design but it feels good because it spreads your hand out more. The ergonomic shape is a bit weird to get used to at first due to the slick feeling matte finish and big drop off on the right side of the mouse

I think if your hands are slightly smaller than mine (1-2cm) you’ll like this mouse a lot. Finger positioning is good (two-three, two-two might be a little uncomfortable). Keep in mind I did not use the original Xornet or Spawn so I cannot provide a point of reference from there.

According to my 12 year old, it is a high quality gaming mouse, but if you have really small hands, then it won't be great for you.

And lastly they're both too light. My Viper Ultimate is actually scuffed on one side and good on the other but it's still too light

Went from the Razer DeathAdder Elite (wired) to the Model D, very similar shape and feel and also very light (68 grams) which really makes a difference.

So i have been using this mouse for about a week and half and I have very few complaints. It really is a top tier mouse for the money. The scroll wheel feels so nice and clicks are nice and crisp. The build is fantastic for a 60 dollar mouse and of course you get that rgb which is always a plus

The surface coating has improved to include the rubberized texture on the side, grips versus the glossy sides on the original, and I am quite impresse...

Whenever I lift up my mouse, there is a slight breeze of air that cools my sweaty hands, which feels satisfying. The shape of the mouse is perfect. I have medium-sized hands, and this mouse feels comfortable and perfect. I can easily palm grip this mouse comfortably

Pros: -Super comfortable -The buttons fit my fingers well and allow my fingers to rest in the grooves -Responsive -Two buttons near my thumbs -Grips on the scroll make it easier to use -Up and down buttons on the mouse so I don't have to go into the program to use it -Plugging in brings up the program to install it, rather than having to find the install on the website -Chord is braided rather than rubber/plastic -Nice matte finish, doesn't get slippery, fairly nice texture Cons: -Thumb button placement makes it hard to reach the first button because of the size of my hand; seems clearly made for larger hands/men -DPI buttons seem to be in an inconvenient spot; have accidentally bumped during gaming

The sensor being used in the MOW is Glorious’ own proprietary sensor, with the name BAMF. It’s meant to be similar to the PixArt 3370 sensor, however I’m not 100% sure. Personally I've had no big issues with this sensor: no noticeable input lag, tracking felt accurate to my hand movement, no spinouts on any of my pads. I’ve noticed some angle snapping though, also seen complaints of it spinning out on the Ice pad and MP510

I was so baffled by the lack of something so basic that I contacted Razer's support to confirm it was true, and they did. I replaced it with a SteelSeries Rival 310 for $10 less. Similar sensor, better hand shape, and it actually has onboard memory that stores lighting profiles.

Firmware: Changing the DPI is actually _really_ intuitive, although you can't really do it on the fly as it involves lifting the mouse off the pad, holding down both mouse buttons until you see the cursor bounce, then using L/R to adjust the DPI (which causes the cursor to bounce to indicate what DPI your at in multiples of 100), then lifting the mouse and holding both buttons again until the cursor bounces N times, where N is your chosen DPI / 100.

While the mouse functioned, its performance was satisfactory (3-stars). However, I hate the mouse software. I would prefer mouse software that is totally on my local machine (not online), which is much simpler, and which does need updates so frequently. At least half the time the mouse software does not initialize properly

**con:** The big con for me was that this mouse has a dpi deviation of around 20% at 800dpi in the software for me. You can work around this problem and set the dpi down to 750dpi in the software to achieve a deviation of around 3%. I have tried an unofficial firmware update to the version V1104 which got me to a dpi deviation of 8%.

Edit: Also, after a bit of use, I find myself accidentally hitting the DPI adjustment buttons more than is acceptable. They're right behind the scroll wheel, and very easy to push with the base of your middle finger when scrolling upward or just resting your hand on the mouse. Unexpectedly shifting DPI mid-movement will really throw you off.
