This would come into play if you’re tracking multi hour activities such as anything a half marathon or over, ridding a century or anything multi sport such as a triathlon; the last thing you want is for your Watch to die right before the finish which almost happened to me on my first half marathon and is what pushed me to upgrade to the Garmin.
