Beautifully aesthetic, and solid desk. The desk base is fairly heavy, so getting it upstairs was a bit of a challenge. And a took a little bit of time to assemble. Especially with the one size fits all instructions for different desks that took some interpretation

I got this chair mostly for the design and for the quality that herman miller is known for. I didn't want to buy a cheaper chair that would break in a year or two. As far as the materials are concerned, the fabric mesh cushion is nice an firm. Good back support

Update: I have been told that there is some kind of larger seat, or a seat extender (see comments below this review). I have not tried it, but my review is on the chair you get out of the box. 1/12/2022 - Still great! - 4.5/5 stars Time flies! Anyway, I have owned the desk for nearly 3 years at this point and I have had no major issues. A minor thing I did notice is a bit of tilt towards myself (as a round pen rolled toward me); however, this is most probably due to the imbalance that my current setup introduces (with my "desktop" computer literally hanging from the desk bottom). Beyond that quirk, no problems in my day-to-day work life using the desk as a standing or traditional desk

My brother spotted a Herman Miller sayl that was destined for the dumpster at the hospital he worked at. I wiped it down and there was nothing wrong with it, not even stains on the seat cushion. Great chairs, they hold up really well.

The desk was only $500 when I bought mine. Now you'd be paying $789 for the same desk. Blame the pandemic if you wish, it still seems crazy that it's gone up so much.

Absolutely average chair, which should be priced at $79-100. Nothing negative to say about it, but there is nothing good either. Many chairs bought elsewhere would be much more comfortable at half price. Cannot say anything about reliability, as I just purchased it
