The X-T3 does just about everything very well. image quality is excellent, with a choice of attractive 'Film Simulation' color modes and detailed, flexible Raw files. Autofocus with most X-series lenses is snappy with effective focus tracking, eye-detection AF for portraits and zone focus modes that will adapt to a range of sports. This is on top of a well-respected interface which blends traditional dials with a good degree of customization.
The X-T3 does all this while also offering some of the best video we've encountered. It can shoot highly detailed 4K footage at up to 60p with the option for 10-bit capture for maximum grading leeway. Useable (though not flawless) video AF makes it comparatively easy to get good results, too. Only the lack of in-body stabilization counts against its go-everywhere, capture everything credentials.

The X-T3 makes an excellent camera for attractive lifestyle photography. Fujifilm offers an array of relatively affordable prime lenses that let you shoot high-quality lifestyle photos. The X-T3's 'Film Simulation' color modes then make it easy to make these shots look as engaging as possible without requiring a ton of editing.  You can continuously autofocus, while filming as I've done here. While I approach this flower using the XF 18 to 55 millimeter and now, thanks to the touchscreen, you can tap to pull focus while filming again here with the XF 18 to 55. As you can see, the focus pulling is still alive, hesitant compared to Canon and Sony, but I'd say, there's much less breathing once it settles on the target.  The XT 3 has become one of the most capable movie cameras around it'll, film, 4k uhd or DCI at 24 to 60 P, yes, 60 P in camera. So far, something only panasonic has offered at this level switch the compression from h.264 to the thoroughly modern h.265

 A bunch of these images are committed to memory as well as those following allowing you to effectively capture the moments before and after you press the button.  The Fujifilm xt 3 may look a lot like the xt 2 from the outside, but in your hands it represents a significant upgrade. The new x-trans 4 sensor may only offer a mild boost in resolution, but sports improved image quality as well as hugely enhanced, auto, focusing and movie capabilities, there's confident, phase detection autofocus across the entire frame and 4k video up to 60 P and 10 bit internally seriously. Impressive features for a system which was not known for to focus or video in earlier generations, but shooting has also improved with 11 frames % mechanical or up to 20 frames per second using the electronic shutter booster ball 30 frames per second with a minor crop and All work well with continuous autofocus, there's a fun pre burst mode to capture moments.  If you turn on Silent Control, you'll adjust settings via an on-screen menu. It saves frame rate, f-stop, ISO, and film simulation modes which are dedicated to video, so you can quickly switch between still and video capture without having to reconfigure your controls for the different mediums.

Video is available at 4K DCI quality at up to 60fps, a first for an APS-C sensor camera. The X-T3 records 4:2:0 10-bit footage internally to a memory card at up to 400Mbps, and can send out a clean HDMI signal at 4:2:2 10-bit to an external recording device. A flat F-Log profile is available for either recording mode, and you can also apply film looks (including the cinematic Eterna) to video. A firmware update, coming later this year, will support simultaneous recording to both a memory card and external recorder, something the camera cannot do as of this writing

I converted Raw test images using a beta version of the Adobe DNG Converter, and processed our ISO test images in Lightroom Classic CC. At low ISOs there is nothing to complain about. Image detail holds up well through ISO 3200, and images shot at or below that setting don't show overwhelming noise.

The X-T3's big new feature is its autofocus system. It can fire at a brisk 11fps with its mechanical shutter and 20fps using its silent electronic shutter, both with subject tracking and at full 26MP resolution. Fujifilm has expanded the phase detection focus area to cover nearly the entirety of the image sensor, where it was limited to just the central area in the X-T2 and X-H1. There are a total of 2

 If you're using a manual focus lens, it's actually really convenient for focusing because you can still see the whole image, but you can also make sure that you're getting critical focus.  It gives you an incredible image straight out of the camera that has enough dynamic

 Just having that baked in film simulation is good, especially when it's so amazing
