I highly recommend switching to Sony a7 IV or a Canon R5 (try the 800 f11!). By comparison the E-m1X still has very frustrating autofocus and VERY low sharpness.

It’s an admittedly minor tweak, but it shows Fujifilm is listening to the photographers who are using its gear. The same goes for the diopter that now locks to prevent your electronic viewfinder from suddenly going blurry. personally, I would go with the X-T3, it is more in line with what I want in a camera. My hands are a bit on the larger side, so I enjoy the bigger size which makes it easier to hold and handle, for that same reason I like the added weight as well. When cameras are too light I find my hands aren't as steady if I'm shooting really slow shutter speeds.

The lenses for Micro Four Thirds are relatively lightweight, so carrying my camera and lenses while hiking is a no-brainer for me. If I had a camera with a bigger sensor, like the Sony a7 IV or Canon EOS R6, I would have to compromise on something—be it versatility and usability, or the sharpness of the lens—to keep the pack weight as low. The sensor gets me all the performance I need for anything but edge cases which I work around easily enough, and the lenses I carry with me are all sharp and cover the range I need.

I am learning photography but i would say its a bit expensive for amateurs/learners - i absolutely love the viewfinder, as i had seen other competitors’ as well. Got 2 memory card slots, so thats nice. Yet to click and learn settings but whatever i clicked so far was damn good! Waiting for some good weather to go out!! I wouldn’t recommend getting it at the current price of $1700 seeing that that’s the most likely Sony camera to see an update soon (maybe this year?). Either wait for the new one or try getting it used for much less or wait for a price drop when the a7 IV comes out.
