2nd, this has a switch that allows you to go quickly to a full-auto setting that can help you grab a quick shot opportunity that may be passing, or use while you are getting familiar with the camera. 3rd, this camera's ability to get exposure correct with the first shot not requiring a lot of subsequent tweaks of exposure compensation) is pretty good..

This camera is a powerhouse for the price. Full disclosure, my first camera was a Panasonic SD camcorder back in 2005, then switched to a Canon Pro camcorder in 2009, then jumped on the Panasonic train again with the GH3 and was using them until I picked up the GH5. The image is amazing, but that's not news. What is news - and hopefully will not be overlooked - is how much this camera is amazing to use

I purchased the xt20 with the xf18-55 2.8-4. I have prior fuji experience (xpro1, xs100, xt2) so I am familiar with the menu system, which new users often complain about. I love the small size and image quality, although it is easy to over sharpen in camera raw

This is an amazing little package that can give cameras 4 times more expensive a run for their money. The Lumix DC-GH5 is blurring the lines between prosumer and professional with features like 4k at 60p, 10-bit 4:2:2 recorded internally, plus many more. Future firmware updates will blur those lines even further with a 400Mbp/s bit rate codec! This is an exciting camera that will give you stunning photos and videos (admittedly more on the video side). A must own for the aspiring photographer/filmmaker on a budget

Here are a few reactions after my first week with the Fuji: * Wow, I am completely blown away by the image quality coming out of this camera with the 18-55 kit lens (the more expensive one). The images are on par with those I would take with my 5Dii and a very good prime lens. But it's the kit lens! That zooms! See the attached picture. I'm not sure if amazon will reduce the file quality, but if you can zoom in and look at the details, they are perfect

The zoom as an all-round lens and the 85mm as a close-up when the zoom is used wide-angle. I don't think overheating will be a problem as interviews don't go longer than 30-45min either. With my old equipment I'm used to stopping recording after 30min, changing memory cards and batteries and then filming again briefly. Autofocus is also usable here and resolution for photos is optimal

A buddy of mine has a similar setup to this in canon, he has the 6D mk ii with the 24-70ii and we film often together. His setup is nearly 3x the cost of mine and I still prefer the Fuji in a non-professional setting. THE GOOD: The combo of the xt20 and the 18-55 kit lens is stellar. The image quality is outstanding and the lens is reseanable fast

Now there are some poor lenses too, but if you are willing to pay a little more I have found all of the Panny/Leica and Olympus Zuiko lenses to be very, very good.

Frequently just disconnects, and then there's no way to reconnect without going back to the camera and putting it back into wireless communication mode. I play in a band and wanted to use this to capture video of our sets, with a tablet beside me to stop/start the video. Once we're in the middle of a set, I can't get back up to go reset the camera. This last weekend it disconnected after the first song so I got no footage of the gig

But for us, where does this fit in the video camera world? And i mean the only real drawback to it. I can see is if you need good, continuous autofocu...

The auto-focus acts much faster than the X-T1 I used to have, especially within the normal lighting. However the auto-focus has difficult time when I tried close up shooting (Macro mode in X-T1) with the XF 35mm F2 lens. I have to use the manual focus by adjusting the ring of the lens. I found there is an issue when review the photos I took

Almost perfect, the best 4K color depth video camera (prosumer) BUT for the autofocus problems in keeping the main subject in focus. Firmware update to support 4:2:2 in 10bit color is slow and unavailable as of August 2017. Recommend gimble stabilizer even with a LUMIX IS lens.
