FYI, I heard these boots run a tad big, so I bought 9 regulars to fit my 9.5 wide feet.  Just barely snug with thick socks the first few days, but now they conform to every wrinkle of my toes.

  Thank the unmentionable deities which apparently trigger the AI censor!  Less than a week of break-in time.  Now they're my go-to uninsulated boots for work and around town.  My wife thinks they look sharp compared to my decade old and beloved hiking boots (which are so cracked in the creases I won't bother to resole them again), so she sealed the deal with a second kiss. Aesthetically, this is one of the nicest shoes / boots I've ever owned. My perspective is that of a financial mere mortal with a budget of max $350-450 and includes brands like Allen Edmonds, Grenson, Frye, and To Boot NY. That said, time will tell whether the "craftsmanship" and quality of the boot align with the superficial first impression. The reason I gave only a 4 star is for a couple of reasons

First impressions...

I used this pair to attend a wedding and subsequent travels; the comfort level of this formal boots was a surprise! Fit and finish for any shoes cannot be compromised and this pair certainly delivered. They look great dressy, classy, rugged or casual.
