 this projector shows 3d like I’ve never seen before I have a few 3d Blu-rays and after watching I wish all movies could be 3d because they’ve smooth it out where it’s not as dark and it looks so much more natural but with 4k clarity it’s unbelievable if you came over now to see the projector I would show you the 3d first wow 3d don’t go away ...anyway skipping to 1080 i and p and even with 4k what I didn’t know before purchasing was i read a lot about projector throw distance and how it needs 12ft or whatever to make a 100 or 120 inch screen but what I didn’t know was that’s just the picture size to fill the screen (side note the zoom feature is outstanding so the throw distance doesn’t matter AS much with this projector) your sitting distance is just as important because there’s a sweet spot where 4k looks like 1080 and 1080 looks like 1986 if you sit too close

 With Epson succeeding in producing an image that just might convince you, it's a true 4K projector, not some faux K, as some like to call projectors that accept 4K content but don't have 4K panels. Two 4K projectors at this time start with the Sony VW365ES and $9,999. But if the Epson can seem as sharp or sharper on 1080p or 4K, that's still really impressive. Even more impressive is that the Epson does this for less than one third the price

 I've watched sections of Ender's Game on the 5030UB, and then switched to 4K Ender's Game on the 5040UB. 4K content, folks, is upon us, so expect more 4K projectors to hit the market over the next year, but certainly for now, this Epson is the least expensive, and by my take, the best value out there when it comes to accepting 4K, period. Folks, this is a real step up. As I said, it's revolutionary

 Once I bought the projector (and waited weeks for it to arrive), I started feeling like my Monoprice speaker setup was a little lean... I somehow got my wife to also agree to a sonic upgrade

Built my own Atmos theater to be better than my local AMC!

 The remote is small and hard to see in the dark, though it is back-lit once you press a button, i find the controls a little cumbersome to navigate but the menus are pretty straight forward. One of my favorite features is that it saves zoom and position settings so you can just select a preset and go back and forth between watching super widescreen movies and the more TV friendly 1.85 aspect ratio movies as well once you zero them all in. Thats a feature that was missing in the comparably priced Sony model that helped make my decision even easier

JVC Announces 3 New 8K Laser Home Cinema Projectors

 There are three indicator lights to the top right when viewing from the front of the unit and to the top is a stripe which runs the length of the body and it has the JVC, HDR and ISF-C3 logos at the lens end and 4K DILA logos at the rear. The projector is available in a black and white finish. Around the back we have the connections and control ports with the power socket to the bottom of the back plate.
