 Hey guys, how's it going today? I want to do just kind of a quick review for you guys on the Epson home cinema 4010 4k pro HDR projector I Had seen too many reviews in this as it's fairly new So I thought I just kind of give you guys my two cents just based off my experience and let you know what I thought About it should mention real quick, too I found a pretty good deal on this projector and I'll put a link to that in the description below So you can check that out if you're interested in picking one up for yourself So Epson have really stepped up their game on home theater projectors over the last probably four or five years they were kind of a joke in the past like nobody really used an Epson unless you were using it for work, but Long story short they changed their entire production line got all new people to work on their projectors and Now in my opinion and they make the best movie theater projectors out there for the money I was really blown away by the quality of this one both in picture and the HDR function It'll do 4k natively which is really good for a projector and it's very very bright It outputs two thousand four hundred lumens, which just to give you an idea The projector I had before this was a Sony one that I paid close to six thousand dollars for it was around an eight hundred lumen projector and it Then this thing just blows it away both in picture quality and in color representation and in contrast ratio Which is a big thing for projectors because most projectors in the past tended to wash out a lot They just couldn't get that contrast ratio thing down, but these new ones Have the 40 40 10 is no exception to that at all It's an LCD projector with 100% RGB color. This will throw a man 180 and screen a good 30 feet and look just like a TV set on the wall That's how bright this thing can get My old Sony I couldn't even watch during the day. There was no way if there was any light in the room There's not a chance now. You could watch this thing with the windows open at noon

After none of the fixes worked, I was instructed to send the unit back for a refurbished replacement unit. That process was quick and easy (although it required a $1,200 hold on my credit card account, which was removed after Epson received the defective unit)

 I also failed to notice any light leakage. The 2400 lumens are an upgrade over the 4000 model which only had 2200 and this improves overall white and color brightness. The dynamic contrast ratio is also upgraded at 200,000 to 1 compared to the 4000's 140,000 to 1 although these are both less than the more expensive Epson 5040 UBs claimed 1 million to 1 ratio. It also comes with three settings for the auto iris off, normal, and fast

 Another feature I think you'll like is the excellent vertical and horizontal lens shift adjustments. They gave me plenty of room and flexibility for projector placement.  Once I bought the projector (and waited weeks for it to arrive), I started feeling like my Monoprice speaker setup was a little lean... I somehow got my wife to also agree to a sonic upgrade

 The remote is small and hard to see in the dark, though it is back-lit once you press a button, i find the controls a little cumbersome to navigate but the menus are pretty straight forward. One of my favorite features is that it saves zoom and position settings so you can just select a preset and go back and forth between watching super widescreen movies and the more TV friendly 1.85 aspect ratio movies as well once you zero them all in. Thats a feature that was missing in the comparably priced Sony model that helped make my decision even easier
